Kane Brewing (May/June 2018)

I was also in attendance for the Cork City Kane event last night...thought Mandarina Punch was good but not on the same level as Mosaic Punch. 2190 blew me away though and the new session, Falling Tide, is awesome. A bit reminiscent of Ripple

Agree. Mosaic of Mandarina but love Mandarina as well. Falling tide reminded me of ripple too but Tiny Shells was better imo

stopped in today... I though mandarina was pretty boozy and unbalanced, still a bit green. side by side with a mosaic punch sample mosaic won hands down... maybe its the citrus peel throwing it off to the more bitter side, but the alc really stuck out.

loved tiny shells... night swimming and side shore would make great summer beers..

 

Not quite - I happened to be passing through PP on Sunday and stopped in to the above store. They'd sold out the day after delivery of (I think they said) 15 cases. Kane probably should have worded that message something like "These stores will receive shipments of Head High all summer long..." Obviously, it going to take some time for Kane to figure out demand and normal delivery quantities per store.

 

I think that's fair to say. There's definitely a "bump" that comes from the first delivery, where they just disappear quickly because it's something newly available in that format, at that location (and there are other variables that we'll need to figure out, as you say).

Also, and for those of you paying attention I might have started to sound like a broken record over the years, but we have significant additional capacity, in the form of new tanks, arriving next week. Give me a couple days to get them all on line and temp controlled and we'll be able to crank out more beer and do our best to actually keep stores fully stocked...

Are there times when you see the taplist and decide not to go?

I think if I lived anywhere near Kane I would have trouble stopping myself from going whenever I had free time, no matter what was on.

 

Times i will stop and grab a growler if i am going to a byob dinner or want something Diffrent than i have at home..

I try not to go eveey weekend cuz honestly.. it’s not good for my waist line

 

The brewery is open today from 12pm to 7pm for tours and tastings. Cloud Cover, our 4% Belgian-Style Wit, is back on tap this weekend for pours and growler fills.

Give it a few deliveries I walked into Wilco last week and there were 7-10 cases stacked of head high. And they were delivered the previous week. You know it’s not a sticker can and it’s not limited so...I swear this is most people’s mentality these days. It doesn’t get better than head high though for ipa in my opinion
