Kane Brewing (May/June 2018)

I am beyond excited, i love love love this beer. I am going to a philly area for a wedding but I am most def running to kane first in a few

 

How's the brewery looking for? I'll be there in an hour or so

 

Not busy at all, plenty of punch, a few cases of third reef as well. Didn't see Head High in fridge .

 

any one cracked a mosaic yet? as good as the first time? I had a wedding sat and then did not want to drink anything yest lol

 

i didn't have it prior to this release(s), so I can't compare it. (side note, Kane generally has awesome prices, curious about the $2 increase over the previously release though, was the "DDH"? or fruits just not in season?).

The first can I had saturday was rather "meh" as in, it was okay but I didn't get some of the hype I have read about it. Sunday i gave it another shot and 1 can quickly turned into 2, it was very good. The lactose provides a good partner for the fruit - without being overly sweet, though 2 cans is very much my limit.

also enjoyed Third Reef, hides the 10% very well.

 

the nice part about kane "fruit" ipa's is they usually allow them to ferment out. Mosaic punch the first time... which was what... last July? Was amazing... excited to have a 4pk of this coming my way

 

anyone know if mosaic punch sold out?

 

Excited to see how it compares to last years. It could be fluctuation on costs for the hops as well, I don't think Galaxy is a cheap hop to get your hands on.

I doubt it. The brewery was empty yesterday. The left side of the cooler still had plenty. I'm a contrarian, I left with Overhead.

 

Yeah, galaxy is expensive - and i suppose their "crop" of galaxy for this batch is most likely different from the September release.

these damn AU hops. All I want to do is brew up beers with Vic Secret, Enigma, and Galaxy but theyre difficult to get and crazy expensive.

Anyone else notice Mosaic Punch was canned two weeks before it was released? Thoughts on why this would be?

 

It was probably too green when first canned. I wish more breweries did that.

 

Cracked open Mosaic Punch last night, totally as good as I remember. So glad I bought a little more of this than I normally would

 

Same for me. Love this beer. Hoping we get some warm weather soon, this is a perfect outdoor beer in the heat

 

I had mine while I was grilling up some food last night!

I know I said my hope for 2018 was more Punches, glad to see Mosaic came back, curious to see if they would ever rebrew Waimea, and even more curious to see if they make any new ones... Galaxy Punch please

 

I'd love to see a Citra punch!

 

Damn. I missed out again this year. I was up in MA visiting family. At least I got some Trillium so it wasn't a huge loss on my end. I have some extra Trillium to trade so if anyone near South Jersey (or willing to meet halfway) wants to do a small in-person trade, shoot me a message! Glad to hear they're drinking nicely regardless.

 

I was there around 3:30 on Sunday, seemed to be a decent amount left in the cooler, so I think your chances are fine if you can get there on Thursday.
