    Kane Brewing: http://www.kanebrewing.com/

Address: 1750 Bloomsbury Ave, Ocean Township, NJ 07712
We are located behind the Ocean Plaza Shopping Center off Route 35.

Tap Room Hours: Thursday: 5 pm to 8 pm, Friday: 5 pm to 8 pm, Saturday: 12 pm to 7 pm, Sunday: 12 pm to 5 pm

Tours: Tours of the brewery are given at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Guided tours last approximately 15-20 minutes. Self-guided tours are continuously available during our Tour and Tasting hours. No charge

They DO NOT allow any tour buses, limousines, party groups, bachelor or bachelorette parties, etc. in the brewery for tours and tastings. We have limited space and do not have the staff to handle large unexpected groups even with a prior reservation.

Current Tap List: Facebook is updated before retail hours with current Tap List. Year round beers includes Head High, Overhead and Single Finn.

Growler Fills: Beer prices vary depending on style but range from $7-$20+. The cost of the growler is an additional $10 for one-liter, and $12 for two-liter. Yes, Kane fills growlers from other breweries as long as it has a government warning, labeled volume, and a Kane Brewing Co. sticker can be applied for regulatory compliance.

Can and Bottles Sales: Limited release 750ml bottles for sale at the brewery as well as cans. Check Facebook (must have Facebook account), Twitter, or Instagram for up to date list. Solitude, our 9.2% Belgian-style dark strong ale, will now be available at the brewery in 750ml bottles on an (almost) year-round basis.

They offer a few varieties of their beer to be purchased in sixtel (5.2 gallon kegs). In addition to the cost of the beer, there is a $30 cash deposit required for the keg that will be refunded upon its return.

Guess I should repost in the July thread. Anyone know if Night Swimming lasted the day?

    Thanks

I hope breweries notice this. All to often you hear (a certain podcast) talk about how hops pay the bills. Well I think most breweries could do more than that and still sell out within a few days as long as it’s somethjng new. Hopefully it is a trend we see happen more and more. I do hope Kane has a year round lager to go soon.

I admittedly love IPAs and don't see anything wrong with breweries producing IPAs people love either though. But yea nice to see such a good response to a different style

Oh I’m not saying don’t brew them. Just is nice to see more variety from places lately.

Exactly. I was just up in Portland and almost every brewery had IPAs/DIPAs/pales with a few other styles thrown in here and there, but I happily bought many cans from Foundation, who had those styles but also a canned sour farmhouse, a hoppy farmhouse, a helles lager, a Pilsner, a Brown, etc.
We need people buying the other styles and they’ll make more hopefully.

that's the key. You look at "IPA factories" like Other Half, Tree House and Magnify, and while their hoppy beers fly out the door, when they brew pilsners, helles, etc. they hang around for weeks.

I think it’s because bros don’t like anything but juice and dessert beers. The breweries you mentioned are all one trick ponies IMO, very good at what they do though. They brew juice and dessert tasting stouts for the most part and very few other styles. So the clientele they attract will only by said type of beer.

and the majority of beers that Kane packages in bottles/cans are stouts/porters with adjuncts and hoppy stuff.

and calling Tree House a one trick pony is just not true.

Both sound good although I'm not biggest 'tose fan...Hoping this isn't the start of Kane going that route. Since it's a collab I am guessing this will be a one-off.

their fruited beers, like the punch series tends to use it.

Well technically it isn’t ‘tose, it’s oats. Not convinced myself but wanted to clarify.

@glennl did these beers get a output? Like these aren't going to sell out in <2 hours like the smaller batch HH/SB variants is it? I don't think i can get there until 2pm or later.

I can't speculate on when they'll sell out, but i'm pretty sure there's a lot more than there were DDH HH and sneak... like twice as much or more of each of today's release...
