Not a fan of CS 2. It shares very little in similarity with the past two batches and for me, a little boozy with a strong but subtle prickly pear presence trying to cover it up. Not even worth a 4 pack unfortunately what a shame

I'm not quite as disappointed, but CS 2 isn't the light punch of tasty juice that the last batches have been. For batch 1 I went back the same day after having one at home. I don't think I'll be doing the same with this.

With that said, it wouldn't surprise me if the flavor was a bit more melded and tasty in 2 weeks.

To each their own I suppose. I don't think its boozy at all, and the prickly pear is very strong, not subtle at all IMO.

I know Great Nation left some Double Stack sixtels. Where they're going, I'm not sure...

CS2- Maybe it was all that abv talk, but yeah it's a bit boozy on the end. Like, that framework doesnt support 8.5 or something....still very good.
Im confident it will improve with 2-3 weeks on it, meld as you mentioned.

It’s drinking incredible. Space Hallucinations has really come into its own as well.

Seems to be getting no love on the ratings, not that it matters, but Phantasms is really enjoyable. It’s kind of a throwback to the OH beers that were happy to go danker or earthier in profile. Nice change of pace from the typical juiciness.

What can I expect from a "coffee infused IPA" because I've never heard of that before.

Expect less of an IPA is my experience. La Cumbre out in New Mexico made one I loved back in the day and I love Carton’s SS Yirgacheffe, but they definitely diverge from what you normally expect in an IPA. The right coffee can really shine and I often find a sweet, nutty flavor.

By the way, hoping people ignore this one. I want some cans but don’t have any intention of braving the chaos.

Finback did one and it sucked ("Procrastination"). But because this is Great Notion, I'd expect it to taste like chemicals.

An ipa that also has a coffee taste. Best one I ever had was dayman from Stone a few years ago but they’re strangely tasty if you like both IPAs and coffee.

Most of these beers seem super expensive and not particularly tasty, which is too bad, because I haven’t been able to hit OH in ages and this would be my first open Saturday. Oh well, many more to come I guess.

I love my IPAs hazy and my coffee black, but a coffee IPA sounds...bad.

Was gonna post this. Dayman is still the king as far as I’m concerned. I had one from Ithaca too, can’t remember the name that was really good too. (Java Power)

Weird that I like my IPAs with lactose and my coffee without ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
