@putonyourwalkingshoes You are normally a pretty straight shooter. Curious your opinion about the last 4-5 posts on BAA, FF, and FO.

 

Depends on what year BAA the older years 15,16 are valued higher than 17 and 18

 

People search out the older BAA still? Feel like every post I have seen (except the rare one looking complete a vertical) is always looking for whichever one is fresh. Honestly, did not even know.

I actually talked to someone during the RFI pickup because had it when he won his ticket into the last kbbs lottery. I'm thinking that 3x FO or FS offer was pretty fair on both sides. FF alone realistically should be a 1:1. They hinted a few months ago it might be made again but by pure scarcity it's right there. Have a good one friend.

 

Think you will struggle mightily to close on gnvp2 without a big bottle. I have seen one FT recently and it was trying to package up to assassin. I doubt anyone holding onto them this long will flip them for quantity. I would think you would need at least something like a VR or that level bottle or lambic.

 

I traded my TWCP Maman for Carpathian 1:1..probably could have gotten a plus seeing as how many ISO are posted for it, but damn that Carpathian is delicious.

 

I keep reading these posts, thinking carpathian is the brewery. It'd be a badass name for a brewery.

 

Does value drop at all if you know someone isn't the original owner of a big bottle?

 

I'm interested in this answer from others..... I feel like a good portion of big bottles are traded / sent off for profit vs drinking

 

I'm not sure that's quite true - I think that's generally true for some of the more sought after BC variants.

People may not state it as explicitely for OG Nilla and OG rare (or maybe they do, but there are just less posts, so it appears taht way), but I would certainly care about storage conditions if trading for those.

I think the reason people focus on it more for VR is because VR is more of a value than it is a consumption good. People use it in trades at least as often as people trade for it to drink. So, I think there's a genuine concern that you're getting a bottle from 2014 that has traveled to 6-12 homes, and there's no way to have any idea how that's been stored across all those.

 

Agreed. Since it seems to be one of the more sought after and easy accessible "whale" beers, so people use it as the metric. Funny part is any beer could travel from 6-12 homes, you just never know unless it was just released. Even then, the person could not cellar it properly, so any beer trade is a gamble. The other guy is gambling you cellar it properly as well. Nice for the person to tell you it isn't but personally I dont think it diminishes the value.

 

BCBS Reserve 17 to Henna 2018 (any of the three)?

Figure the BCBS needs to add but I'm trying to figure out the level.

 

dG Kriekenblossom or Purple Kriek for BL Space Trace or Pure Log Cabin/Log Cabin w/ Coffee possible?
Would add extra fresh hoppy cans as well. Seem like enough?

 

I know it's early given that bottle pickup is Saturday, but would Goshawk's Territory go 1:2 for Canuckley and Bring the Ruckley? Not sure what the value of these are or whether they were a ticketed release like Goshawk's Territory was..
