Random question, but my macro-loving friends in VA keep telling me that Busch Signature Copper Lager has become their "go-to" when they want something more. "It's better than Yuengling," they say (though that's not saying a lot). To hear them talk and reading the reviews, it sounds worth tasting; but I don't know because I haven't been able to find it in Maryland. Anyone know if it's available in the Free State? Or if it's even worth looking for?

Yuengling already makes a better version of their lager, it's called Lord Chesterfield.

Which is an ale, not a lager. With a different ingredient profile.

Yes, Lord Chesterfield is also 100% Cascade hops.

Depends on what you want to call a beer fermented at warm temperatures, but with bottom fermenting yeast. See the previous discussion in this thread:

As referenced by @jesskidden , the US government's definition of Ale references temperature, not yeast type.

Back to the original thread topic, how did you get back on the issue of Busch Signature Copper Lager from 2 years ago?

It's not listed on the Official Busch website so I would say it was discontinued

According to BA for Busch Signature Copper Lager: “This beer is retired; no longer brewed.”

    Cheers!

And? It tastes like what their lager ought to be. It's crisper, drier, and less sweet. Doesn't really have the ester profile of an ale, either.
