Here's the list for the 10th edition of Beervana Fest, happening on October 12 @ Rhodes-On-the-Pawtuxet in Cranston, RI: https://wp.me/p5eaeM-1jf
Beer list looks great this year. Sadly I can't make it again. Nice to see a return back to a good number of festival exclusive beers .
Wow, that's a nice lineup, and I totally appreciate that they gave some solid descriptions for the beers - there's nothing worse for me than seeing a listing of beers for a fest that goes like this: BlahBlahBlah Brewery - any stupid name IPA ArshHoles2BellyButtons - any stupid name APA GuessWhichBrewery - Porter You'veGotToBeKidding Brewery - Dubbel Belgium etc. ... ... ... ..
Just some of the beers I'm hoping to try: Allagash: Beervana 10th Anniversary Blend – A multi-layered ale brewed with sauvignon blanc must and fermented in chardonnay barrels. Defined by its balanced and complex notes of pear, citrus, and tart grape. De Dues – Tocatta 2014 – Vintage, peated barleywine/strong ale from Spain. LoverBeer – BeerBera 2016 (Magnum Bottles) – Italian sour ale, fermented in oak vats with Barbera grapes. Buttonewods: Three Cheers for Ten Years – IPA hopped with Simcoe and conditioned on apricot, mango, and white peach. 7.1% ABV Pretty much CBC's whole table! Cascade: One Way or Another 2016 – A collaboration with Bruery Terreux; a blend of sour triple ales aged in wine barrels for up to 16 months with Oregon marionberries and California Meyer lemons. 7.9% ABV Deciduous: Lollipop Forest – Sour ale with milk sugar, fruited with raspberries and blackberries. 5.5% ABV Exhibit A: Demo Tape Twenty-One – Milkshake IPA with tart cherries, chili peppers from Kitchen Garden in Sunderland, MA and a touch of vanilla and lactose. A really well-balanced beer with a soft pillowy texture and a subtle character of cherry and chilies. Not spicy- full flavor! 7.3% ABV Fox Farm: Dark Hills – A tart farmhouse ale brewed in collaboration with our friends at Lasting Brass in February 2018. After a period of mixed-culture fermentation and oak-aging, we added black currants from Maple Lane Farm [Preston, CT] and blackberries. 6.8% ABV Grey Sail: Flotsam and Brettsam – Wild ale aged in Jonathan Edwards Red Wine barrels since 2015. Available brewery and Beervana only. 6.0% ABV Long Live: Bonus Cup – Double coffee stout made with Nitro Cart cold brew coffee. 8% ABV Mystic: Blackberry Frappe Blackberry Lactose IPA – Brewed with 400 pounds of blackberries. Dark purple in color and hazy. Super-fruity and creamy mouthfeel. 7.5% ABV 2014 The Bruery Tart of Darkness is a traditional stout aged in used oak barrels that had previously housed beers such as Cuivre™ or Black Tuesday®. We then added our special blend of souring bacterias and wild yeasts and watched nature take its course. The result is a perfectly tart yet awesomely dark and roasty, sour stout. This unique stout has notes of tart plums, roasted coffee, vanilla and oak. 6.6% ABV Oxbow: Dell’Arragosta – Collaboration with Italian brewery Birrificio del Ducato, a gose inspired farmhouse ale brewed with Maine lobsters and sea salt. 4.5% ABV Proclamation: Tropical Excursion of the Alpaca Magi – Sour beer fermented in oak with passionfruit, mango, tangerine and blackberries. 6.1% ABV Sierra Nevada: Chateau Otra Vez [Trip in the Woods Barrel Aged Series] – Otra Vez Gose aged in oak barrels formerly used to mature white wine for an all new take on this tart ale. 4.9% ABV Shaidzon: Heavenly Flowers – The first time this has ever been sampled to the public. A blend of wine barrel aged saisons and a stainless steel aged sour. 5.5% ABV BRAUEREI GÖLLER Rauchbier – Traditional Franconian smoked beer. 5.2% ABV Tilted Barn: DDH Cactus –Double-dry-hopped version of our Cactus DIPA. 7.8% ABV 2017 Mott The Lesser – Russian Imperial Stout: rich, full-bodied, aged partially in an apple brandy, port, sherry barrels and a former red wine barrel infused with rye whiskey blended for a vanillan oak character and hints of Chocolate. 10.5% ABV
