Next up is Binkie Claws (3 years old), which is better known as Doggie Claws by Hair of the Dog. Brewed and bottled at De Molen. @Lingenbrau - another fine one from one of my favorite breweries. Cheers!

How is that beer compared to the original? Is it actually similar?

It is very similar! The ABV is a bit higher on this one (13.4% versus 11.5% for Doggie Claws). Otherwise, it's the same great taste.

    Interesting.

I haven't seen any De Molen in ages. Do you know if they still produce that one?

Next up, Great Divide Wood Werks Barrel Series Brown Rye Ale. About a 70 cents an ounce, so I am looking for greatness.

I haven't seen it since 2015, but they did release a Binkie Claws aged in Woodford barrels this year and it was amazing.

He is the Cy Young winner for sure. But as John Smoltz said during the Cubs game, he does not play every day.

Delicious session IPA as always. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, moderate increasing bitter dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very flavorful and pretty refreshing, 4.8%. Not watery. Mosaic hops instead of Galaxy this year, not sure why. Still just as impressive. Very vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a nice pale malt backbone for the ABV. Love it every year.

Excellent stuff! Glad for some Bruery cans now. Aromas and flavors of big vanilla, cinnamon, wheat, honey, cracker, and cream; with light nuttiness and herbal/grassy spice earthiness. Mild herbal/spice bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; creamy/silky lactose, grainy malt, and light sticky spice in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering spice dryness. No cloying. Very smooth and pretty refreshing for 7.2%. Not overly sweet. Spot on representation of Horchata as a beer. Spot on base blonde ale as well. Will have to pick up some Mischief cans eventually.

Okay - that penalty was weak on OSU (PI around 2:00 left in third quarter). They made up for it stopping the 4th and 1. Bitch-asses.

Time for some Backwoods Bastard, I say! The GF says, "Fuck yeah! give me some, too!"

She knows her beer, despite her lack of personal investment in the game. Or her knowledge of the game being played.

    "Why do you care, again?"

    Please, woman!

The newest Sand City imperial stout...smoky, chocolatey, thick, delicious. Yeah, as usual, I’m a fan.
