Hope you guys enjoy! I know wee heavy isn't most folks' favorite style but I thought I'd throw that one in because it just took a medal at GABF.

Have you resorted to drinking from a vase? Sounds like a miserable situation there!

I strongly support this idea, minus Ozzylizard - until he gets back home. I've been ninjaed 3 times, and don't have a clue how I'm going to drink the beer I've got anywhere close to fresh.

I can't tell you all how much I appreciate it. Seeing the package from jdell15 yesterday I almost cried, I appreciated it so much. Same with the package today. I've got too much of a good thing at the moment.

I guess I'm waving the white flag of surrender.

    So this showed up today:

It wasn't exactly a ninja package, because @tasterschoice62 let me know about it ahead of time, but it's still a hell of a nice surprise and very much appreciated. Thanks so much, Larry, and I'll be sure to post back with notes when I have them!

Here I am minding my own business catching up on the BIF thread and I get hit with a sick second box from @bl00! I love Triple Crossing and haven't had nearly enough from them. And a barrel-aged barleywine? Thanks so much Dan!

Cheers John! Glad to catch you by surprise. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the barleywine. It was hot when I had it a few months ago but should have mellowed a bit by now. I have no doubt you'll enjoy the other brews.

    One from @TongoRad .....

    and one from @SammyJaxxxx .....

The first one is a very good session ale with more body than I expected.

The second, with lager yeast fermented warm (as an ale) is a flavor rollercoaster that I absolutely loved.

    Drink that Yellow Rose.

    Now.

    Please and you're welcome.

The Live Oak Hefeweizen is world-class, too, IMHO.

I've got friends/coworkers going to Austin in early November, and I've heard great things about that Yellow Rose. How much does a 22 go for? I need to know how much cash to send along.

Not bombers, comes in a 4-pack of 16.9 oz bottles. It's $11.99 for a 4-pack and readily available at 2 Totalwine stores in Austin (Mueller and Arboretum).

First Ninja beer from @r0rschach , and it's a solid winner. Really the perfect beer for me tonight.

This beer pours a beautiful red/purple color. Dark, and deep. The head is red, 1 finger, but the retention is poor.
The nose is nice and rich with blueberry. Slightly tart nose.
Taste - it is a nice, rich, deep, slightly tart blueberry taste. The blueberry isn't artificial - it is all natural.
Bubbly feeling. The body is quite full, even for such a low ABV beer.
Solid Berliner. Just fun, and easy drinking. A nice change up from all the IPAs and stouts.

If someone was to ask me what my favorite beer was, the answer is Boat.
The day that Boat became regularly available at the liquor store by my house was a glorious day.
