It's been some years since I got to enjoy expedition. Bell's big dark beers are one of the things I miss most about michigan. Supposedly we will be getting Bell's up my way some day but for now I have to make do with what I get

I was expecting it to be along those lines but it really isn't. For me, it was so mild I wasn't even sure there were any spices in it at all.

It was actually a bit of a tricky beer to get a handle on but I did enjoy them. And I agree with those who prefer Hazy Little Thing to the Holiday Haze as well.

Solid pack, I think. The coffee stout and the PA, are my faves. The WW was a lot like a doppel bock, malty and sweet. The IPA, not bad; to me it had an aspirin like taste, but did have a fair citrus quality.

I'm sure you're not suffering too bad with all the breweries out that way. You get nice weather too... We have to drink expedition stout to survive the winter up here:wink:

haha ya I don't miss the winters. We went camping down south around thanksgiving and it was 70 degrees and 'chilly' in the evening. When I got back up to where I live it was raining and got down into the 40s at night. Now there's some stout weather for ya :sunglasses:

I'm a big fan of the Warmer, the coffee stout is solid and fresh SNPA is always nice. I'll try the hazy IPA maybe tonight but its not my favorite style, could've gone for Ruthless again

Looks like a good mix and was hard to pass up. I opted for the Celebration 12 pack instead based on limited time availability and am loving them. I will try a six of Narwahl next since I do like their original stout.

SN beers are hard to come by where I live - which is ridiculous but is another story. Reps don't care?
Anyway found 12 packs of Celebration and the Snow Pack at the same place and chose Celebration because I don't want a hazy IPA. I understand it's a current trend so that's why it's in there but it doesn't scream winter to me.

    Disappointed in this pack.

Hazy......tough to finish a bottle, thought it was better last year but guess it’s me.
Coffee.....very good as always, different coffee again?
Warmer......bit thin very light spice.....loved the maple ale a few years ago
    SNPA......not a big fan

Had hopes but can’t win them all

    Enjoy

According to the label and the SN webpage for Winter Warmer Lager, there are no spices listed in the ingredients.

Not sure what is going on with SN, maybe Arizona ticked them off but I have yet to see this pack or the Fresh Hop pack. I ran over to Total Wine and Bevmo figuring they must have it as they have in every year I can remember, zero..... Seems weird, then again stopping their stout and porter is weird also but hey.... :open_mouth:

Not according to @SierraTerence in several posts in this erroneously titled thread.

Entirely possible that your local SN distributor dropped the beers or, if they still carry it, your local retailers simply don't order them.

I will ask around but I literally have seen one 6 pack in the past 8 mos to year (Porter). We used to see these all the time on both the porter and stout. The shelves here are packed with stouts and other dark beers and they move very fast, so in reading the thread you linked it seems to not be a demand thing since that style moves well here. I also have not see Fresh Hops Packs or Snow Packs, which is just odd because we always get the packs. I literally have gone to the two big boys and 4 small mom and pop places and nothing. All I see right now is SNPA, a handful of Celebration, and old IPAs from summer. Would be very curious if folks here see any Fresh Stout or Porter in their respective location? The Porter I just scored Thur was from April 2018.
    Cheers

I'm not going to assume anything but you are also checking the SN beer finder? I saw a few places in AZ listed as having the stout and porter but they could very well be out. Good luck.

Was out last night and Sierra porter was on tap.......

As good as it is and as "rare" as it is to see in any format I had a double galaxy from Hill. Really nice beer.

    Enjoy

Just got this pack, SNPA is good as ever, the hazy was fine, the coffee stout was fine, and the winter warmer lager slipped in to scratch a sneaky itch I had. Seemed like a rye heavy lager? Really pleasant and unique flavor for me
