FWIW, I enjoy coffee stouts and porters, as it means I can be efficient in combining my vices and addictions in a single beer.
Plus, it just "feel right, man" when I suffer from insomnia, and I need both a chill pill (beer) and something to keep me awake, angrily, on the internetz (coffee). Now, back to staring at this screen full of words.

Meads are a miniscule niche in the beverage world. That and the unfamiliarity of the public about meads, makes them an easy target. Meads have become much more popular, but will never approach beer, wine or spirits, as honey is a limited and expensive source of fermentables.

Monnik brewing company made a coffee ipa called Path of Totality that was pretty good

    Interested.

I also have two lighter beers brewed by Fate that include coffee on my 'wants' list. I haven't given up on lighter coffee beers, but I am more reluctant now.

It's a pretty spotty record for sure. The best I've had is Bean Flicker from Oddside Ales. It's a coffee blonde I believe

I just struggle justifying a trade for something that has a good chance of disappointing me. I'll have to add Bean Flicker to my 'wants' as well. Again, haven't totally given up, but I am starting to struggle with the idea of putting forth the effort to try and acquire some of these.

EDIT: Turns out Bean Flicker is already on my list. I know I went through and added several barleywines and coffee beers based on reports from others, which makes up the majority of my wants list at this point.

I'm pretty sure it's year round and widely available in Michigan so a simple local trade could have it included if the mood strikes. But I certainly wouldn't say it's a must. Better to travel to grand haven in the summer to enjoy at the tap room after a day at the beach

To dovetail off of this in light of the thread, why the actual fuck would anyone name their fucking beer “Bean Flicker”?! This is why I don’t buy Oddside haha.

Those don’t nearly make my eyes roll as hard, though. But sexual innuendos in beer names make me think the only people who buy them are dirty, old leathery uncles who still get too much of a kick out of dirty puns.

I'm sure it has been said a number of times already in this thread, but, I am going to say it now since I am on a new years resolution diet.

I wish lactose in beers would die
