OP (@sportscrazed2 ) assuming you get FFF in your area, keep an eye out for this one. It was posted in the GL FFF thread too (link).

But Amber is listed on the bottle and that's what it tastes like to me. Shrugs.

Honkers, whether on draught or in bottles, never struck my fancy. Landlord, on the other hand, was a revelation!

Btw, I wish I could get Batchelor Bitter from Deschutes again. That hit my palate in a most positive way for the style.

Agree on how good it was, but I'd have put it the 'Americanized' category when it was around.

How is that? I've never bought it, and frankly don't know anything about Temperance.

the new 6-packs? Cant wait to see them here - hoping to find some tomorrow.

Yeah I just happened to be driving past three floyds on the way to Santoris in Lansing. Lucky me traffic was so fucking slow. Didn't even know it was out

No argument there . Once upon a time I had cases of it shipped to NY, it was a hell of a tasty beer.

Not a Bitter but...their Pine Mountain Pils is another brew that I miss soooooo much. Based on the reviews, I'd reckon that they discontinued it. :slight_frown:

Santori’s? Went there once after One Trick Pony, it was a real dump.

Wil Turner brewed a lot of the original English style beers at Goose Clybourn and then at Revolution, and recently moved to Open Outcry. Likely a good bet to watch that space. https://patch.com/illinois/beverly-mtgreenwood/head-revolution-brewer-hired-open-outcry

The owner is a bit mean but, living in Indiana and it being about a mile from the IN/IL border it has the best selection of craft outside of Highland and opens up all the stuff you can get in IL that you can't get in IN. The entire left hand wall of the store is craft beer and refrigerated. I don't know man what you mean by, dump but, you're not gonna find much better in the area.

I like it. It's solid. Not an amazing beer, but I appreciate having a local version since the imports are often very old. Their Gatecrasher is an English IPA, too, and rather good. I would buy Fullers ESB and London Pride first, but Temperance's offerings do the trick if I wanna change it up.

It's been quite a while for me, but I always thought Bull City's beers were on point as English style ales. It seemed to me that Seth had a real appreciation for the sociable styles. I liked everything about Bull City. I need to return.

Their Mild at sub is right at 3.8 abv is terrific, its nicely bitter and full bodied, it puts the All Day IPA stuff to rest. Every beer I’ve had has been a pleasure.

It's a pain in the arse to find em. Same thing with Scottish Ales. There are a lot of wee heavys but a decent Scottish ale is hard to come by. Everyone I have had is subpar. Neshaminy Creek made on a few years back that i had on my taproom rotation but that was about it.

I live in Indiana by Three Floyds. I xac get Robert the Bruce and Dirty Bastard all day every day. Wee Mac ain't bad either and its even sold at CVS. When I first wrote this I had checked all the good liquor stores in the area for a good esb. I almost even took a train to Chicago to hit up an English style bar that has some on draft. Lucky me FFF now had a sixer esb. I hope they keep it.
