A fruited but not lactosed IPA from grimm - I'll buy a 4pack. Seems like the type to set and forget in the fridge.

Did anyone try this Afterimage variant? Debating on going out to pick some up.

It’s well done, and doesn’t feel like a muddled ipa like other fruited ipas. There’s also bitterness in it that another beer’s lactose would’ve softened.

I had it as well but I wasn't a fan, it had this weird astringency to it but it might've been my palate since the Awoogah I had after was also a bit astringent. I was also a little underwhelmed by the Coffee Coconut Icing on the Cake, it was very good but I don't quite think its $12 for 500ml good.

Anyone else going to the Mixed Ferm talk on Monday? Seems really interesting, especially the spontaneous mead which I have no idea what that will be like.

Yea, I got tickets. I started to mess around with mixed fermentation recently in my homebrew so I am excited to hear the pros discuss.

Excited to check this out out and see what spruce tips are like in an ipa. I like Super Spruce, but mainly as a fun beer to drink with holiday dinners. I imagine spruce tips would complement an ipa better though.

Finback does Echelon which is brewed with spruce tips and yuzu and its pretty solid. Spruce tips are interesting as an ingredient, depending on when you procure them in the season the range from citrusy early on to piney and resinous late in the season.

The next Hyperfocus is with Cashmere. This Saturday. I split a Mosaic at a share I went to, about 6 weeks on it, it was still very impressive.
