    This Week's E-mail

Hope the week hasn't been as up and down as the weather rollercoaster we been on and you are ready rock out weekend warrior style. We got two fresh revamped batches of beers we have done in the past coming at you this weekend starting with "Chingas" our Black IPA that will tap tonight once we kick a beer. The batch is a little bigger coming in at 7.9% ABV and we used a completely different dry hop regime with Jarrylo, Denali, Southern Cross & Cashmere. We also switched the yeast strain over to a Belgium to throw a slight ester in the mix and clear the beer up a little with the heavy dry hop. Notes of light smoky coffee, creamy chocolate, lemon spice bars, chocolate-dipped plums, spicy rye and stone fruit resin. The next beer is "Four Minute Mile" an American IPA that will hit the stage on Saturday. The version is also a little bigger at 7.5% ABV and we switched up the dry hop to use the rest of the limited Strata we were so lucky to be blessed with from Crosby Hop Farm accompanied with some Mosaic. We are super psyched about this hop and this beer and we can't wait until we get a bunch of it from the next harvest. Bright layers of tropical fruits, passion fruit, rock-melon cantaloupe syrup, mango, grass stains and an herbal gust of the devil’s cabbage itself. Unfortunately no growler fills on this one this weekend but don't worry we promise the abstaining will be worth it .

Love TE beers and will hopefully get to have the new ones but I find it weird they’re calling these two beers the same name after changing a lot (especially Chingas) like hops and yeast used. Why not just say it’s a different black ipa?

At the brewery now drinking a pint of 4 Minute Mile, wow talk about hitting a home run. They hit this one out of the park. To bad it’s a one and done!

were you at the bar to the left side? I think I may have been standing right next to you! Agree, it was awesome. Complex, lots of layers of flavor to it. Couldn't stick around to try Chingas though.

i may have paid right next to you as i was leaving.

    Small Review:
Took some advice from here and we arrived early. The gf wanted to check out a local bakery so we stopepd there first to pick up snacks. Seemed like most people have the same idea as people were walking in with pizza, subs, etc.

I really enjoy the taproom. The astetics are nice and the vibe is very friendly, from the staff to the people that were there hanging out. It got very packed toward when we left. Feel like they could expand but doesn't seem like they are able too. Also The way they do pours was a litte confusing to me at first, but the staff was very nice. The guy bartender was not my favorite though, he seemed to be hungover/cranky and dropped my growler after he filled it. It is a ton of foam in the top so I am hoping that doesnt effect when I open, but the 2 girls were great.

The beer's were very good. I enjoyed Zen Fountain, great taste and broke up the mostly IPA line-up. The brown ale was also very good and true to the style, great notes of roast and coffee. I am not a huge black IPA person but I did enjoy Chingas. 4 minute mile, Crooked Spoke Adjunct & Clincher were all stand-outs. I was hoping for a stout/porter but the bartenders said Saturday was packed so they went through a ton of beer. Tried to talk by way into a growler of 4 minute mile but walked out with Clincher rather.

Overall, great beer, good experience and hope to stop back again.

Not sure anyone else noticed, but their Instagram story over the weekend showed pictures of some very large looking fermenters they were picking up, and a note thanking Tuckahoe for selling them to TEB... so looks like that expanded capacity is coming soon.

Stopped by for the first time in a few months late Sunday. Pretty packed but the staff turned over the long lines rather quickly so kudos to them.

4 Minute Mile was interesting...a little too green for me on the finish but cool mix of tropical fruit and grassy notes

Clincher was big sweeter fruit, pillowy body, for all of the juice chasers (did walk out with a 64ozer myself)

Chingas really worked for me...yeasty esters played with the roast malt and spicy hop profile well. Orange and ginger with some chocolaty notes. Really enjoyed it.

Had a taste of the Zen garden my buddy was drinking...super tasty but too much of a fruit smoothie for me. But different strokes as they say...ill leave the beereverages for others...

    Thanks team TEB!

Looks like they are canning up some Gathering Clouds, I'm actually visiting my parents this weekend which means I might be able to grab some.

surprised how few people caught that, even on the FB groups... their current IG story shows them moving the Saison they've had in the old "Echoes they Left Behind" (the pineapple soure) barrel for the last 2 years, into the brite tank. I've had some samples of that along the way and it should be pretty nice... wonder If any chance they get this into bottles and drop it this weekend along with clouds. I know they really don't like dropping just one beer making people come out for just one 4pk..

haven't seen it yet... not always consistent with the timing or publication of it.. I'll post it if I see it tho…

they do post the beers on tap on Untappd, and they added Here There be Monsters and Nosh: Mosaic to the "on deck" list (to be tapped over the weekend at some point).

If they release cans I would guess it would be Sunday based on the past couple releases

Seems to make sense to me. Feel that others breweries could/should do something along the same lines.

Customers will always tie the line and some will cross this and take advantage, rules need to me in place. I also think it is crazy to bring party trays and set-up like you are throwing a party in someones else's space without giving them any notice or compensation.

Having a kids party in a brewery is just another level of crazy to me, but to each is own.

Aside from the "family time" hours, most of those are either common sense / common courtesy stuff that is sad that people need to have spelled out nowadays.. others are tied to laws/regs the breweries must follow... so totally a fair list of rules... there were a few posts by one of the owners about stuff that's been happening lately that pushed them over the edge.
