removing brewery name from beer list.

    I know it's been covered before, so apologies for having to ask again, but who do we contact to get the name of the brewery from the listing of every beer the brewery makes removed?

    Terry,

    It's a bit of a daunting task for the entire site, based on the potential numbers of entries, but any Site Editor (myself included) can make that happen, especially in specified cases.

    It can get tricky when a brewery (or meadery I suppose) uses their brewery name with the individual product. "Stone IPA", for example, makes more sense to me than "IPA" by Stone, although it's listed as the latter here. It can be a gray area.

    If you want to shoot me some examples of entries you think are wrong in this fashion, I will tackle them as my bandwidth allows.

    One of the editors/mods ( @dbrauneis ?) was tackling this a while ago, but I couldn't find the thread. If you look at the Dragonmead Brewing link I posted, you'll see what inspired this post. Was trying to review the Trippel, and, Boom goes the dynamite!

    Basically, folks enterthings like this:
    ABC Brewing Rock IPA

    ABC Brewing Paper Lager

    ABC Brewing Scissors Stout

    We know it's ABC Brewing, we're on their page, looking at the beer list. It's the ultimate in redundancy. Just enter them as Rock IPA, Paper lager, Scissors Stout.

    Another strategy which may help spread the work out a bit is to go to the brewery home page and under "Place Tools" use "Suggest Edit" to point out the Brewery Name in some or all of the beer names is redundant and can be removed.
