    I'm not really a huge fan of Dessert Stouts, but this just has such a fantastic salted caramel and milk chocolate character to it that never becomes too sweet due to some lightly roasted and bitter notes as well. Not overly complex, but does what it says on the tin extremely well, loving this. Many thanks @gavinbrooksbank for the can.

    At Old Ox for American Craft Beer Week where they are putting on beers from a home brew club (that they allow to use their SABCO) system. Today’s offerings were a Kölsch (fruity/malty opening with a decent grassy back) and an English Brown ale (nicely malty, little more nutty than toasty).

    Now a beer from the actual brewery, a Schwarzbier called SchwarzenKegger:

    I did not care for this one as much as the Broz series (probably not even a fair comparison but I thought I would throw one in to see what you think.

    You do know that I filed for a patent that only I can use The End by the Doors when applied to ones last beer of its kind. But since you are a goood guy I promise not to sue.

    Boring night tonight for dinner... Spanish rice and microwaved pork tamales from Aldi. So I'm getting ahead of myself and starting the night with Impressionism from Tree House. It's a few months old but it's been in the fridge. Loaded with roasted malts, light coffee and hints of bitter cocoa. Reminds me of the Lindt 99% cacao bar, which is VERY hard to find. You have to be hardcore to eat that one.

    Will probably be having another one later (or maybe two). But since I was able to post now I figured why not. We're not limited to one post a day in this thread.
