    Good morning fine advocates!

Finally some sun around these parts, which prompted me to buy this; along with a couple other decent brews for the day:

Good day BAs! Looks like we're starting off dry, at least for a couple of hours. I've got both indoor and outdoor stuff to do today so I don't really care either way. @Shanex, thanks for starting today's thread! Today's New Breakfast Beer:

As I've said before, letting a beer sit around in oak barrels does not necessarily improve it.

    De nada, @Ozzylizard

This is also delicious, a treat, a pleasure for the palate

The beer that got me into sours. A true legend. Cheers!

Definitely. Duchesse de Bourgogne is also a winner. I’m not much into other sours beside these two.

Hell yeah. I don’t even know that beer but I trust you. I don’t hold any stereotype on French beers but lately I’ve been interested to try and NBS some new French beers, never disappointed.

I suppose you’re up for a fine apéritif of Charcuterie, cheese with a baguette and wine tonight?

Equilibrium MC2, 8% double IPA. I've been struggling a lot with IPA's and still do. I still prefer a sweet and fruity NEIPA over a hoppy west coast IPA. But I'm starting to enjoy the different styles of IPA's and for some reason especially double IPA's work for me. Usually I need a few sips to adjust my palate to them but today this one was actually enjoyable from the first sip. Cheers!

First time with it which is both a good and a bad thing, the good thing is I really dig it, the bad being that it’s not New Beer SUNDAY...

Doubling down as I try to tackle this beast of a lunch. Open faced black bean sloppy joe and cole slaw. This requires a fork.

Oh that's a fun journey! Trust me: the more IPAs you try, the more you'll enjoy, until one day you're looking back going, "When did I start considering Ruination just kinda bitter?" :grinning:

Rodenbach Grand Cru and the vintage releases are absolutely sublime. Duchesse is very good, but Rodenbach is the next level, for me.

The difference between Grand Cru and the more accessible (and stainless steel vice oak foeder aged, IIRC) Rodenbach Red is dramatic.
