Mess regarding the bottle and not offering the 12oz. The beer itself was fantastic as always. Sorry for confusion, was solely about format.
    Cheers

This years is really good, maybe the best yet for my tastes. Less coffee, it’s pretty much non existent, but more barrel and tons of peppery spice.

I'm sorry, no offense. I am so looking forward to this year's, just happens to release I'm guessing now, or in stupid PA, early December. I frigging hate PA distribution, but what an birthday weekend last year, and every year. At almost 60, my daughters and me celebrate birthday weekends ... lmao. Cheers to you!

This beer is changing a lot as it warms. The spice is dying down a little and the coffee and chocolate flavors are coming through. Very creamy mouthfeel now too.

You think they tasted the finished product and decided: " this isn't worthy of a $10 bomber; let's charge even less due to its lack of quality." Discounting all of the production costs, label approval, etc., months and months prior to its release?

Sounds like a very strange way for a business too operate.

On an anecdotal note. I have thought every year's release, even the draft only barrel aged imp/cap stouts before they did the bomber release have tasted very similar and of equal quality; just my impression.

The original bombers were the best. Still have 1 or 2 sitting. It was a steal at $96 a case.

I found a bomber of 2018 this summer and for $8.49 it was amazing.

    Enjoy

Any south jersey sightings? I will be around there this weekend. Looking for at least 16 bottles

    Enjoy

Love this beer This is probably one of the best BA Stouts period you can buy. Regardless of price or regardless if it was produced in limited quantities from a brewery or sits at a distributor.

This has a caramel/toffee/butterscotch note from the barrel that I've only really found in BCBS. It's similar to BA Expedition (which is world class btw) as well but at more than half the cost. It's also got a nice body to it which is key to this style imo. World class beer.

I paid $14 for a 4-pack and am considering looking to split a case with someone. People complaining about the increase in pricing here will probably still line up to pay $14 for a can/bottle of a heavily adjuncted stout (I know I'm guilty). My point here is that it's still a great great beer at a great great value

The Lagunitas beer finder listed a nearby grocery as having this beer. They did not have it. <sniff sniff>

Maybe it was in the back, hasn’t been stocked yet. I’ve had that happen with a beer finder before and asked an employee to go check and it was back there.

Yeah, I spoke with the young lady who stocked the beer section this very day. She was very confident it wasn't in the store, but you never know.

$11.99 at the shops I stopped at in Wisconsin. I think this is the best year for me. I did miss it last year. I checked three places. 2 bottle per person, one four pack per person, and no limit. I was told at two places they only got one case.

I can't wait to try this! It seems to be working its way eastward in my state so I should be seeing it soon.

For the PA folks, according to Laguintas' beer finder it was in Lebanon as of yesterday.

I honestly don't think there's a better value out there now for a barrel aged stout. Incredible.
