Black Friday- Twin Cities

Today wine Eagan, Hy-Vee Eagan have had all distributed variants last 2 years. Not too far from St Paul depending on the area of St Paul where you're staying.

 

Variants are distro'd based on volume so pick a pick place that moves alot of Bud Light. Any Total Wine or larger liquor stores near the U is generally has a good selection if you get there early.

 

Thanks guys, appreciate it. I was already thinking about Total Wine in Eagan. I just don't really want to walk into or deal with a total shit-show.

 

Not the cities, but, I stopped in at Westside Liquor in Waite Park this morning, and was told that they're only getting 12 bottles of BCBS this year.

 

For whatever reason the St. Cloud area is terrible for BCBS. Honestly, it's one of the reasons I no longer stay overnight at my parents for Thanksgiving.

 

I know. The sad thing is all I have to do is go to Monticello, and get as much as I want.

I also checked the Costco here, and they didn't have it in their system as of last week. I'll check again on BF.

One more St. Cloud release:

Pantown Brewing is releasing their first BA beer. They put some of their Drop Forge into a barrel last year, and they will have 100 bottles of it for sale at 10AM on Friday. 1 per person limit.

 

Just posted on Twitter they will have 19, Cafe, wheat wine, mon Cheri and reserve rye. That gets us to 39...

 

Is there an official BCBS liquor store this year? Similar to what Elevated Minneapolis was last year?

 

Somewhat out of scope for this thread, but relevant.

Anyone have any info on where one could score bottles of BCBS and variants near Duluth?

I called Mount Royal and they said they only got bottles of regular.

 

At Total Wine in Maple Grove, and, I'd say that there's around 40 people in line at 20 to 8.

 

Any word on which variants we got inMn?

If you were planning on going to Hi-Way Liquors in Monticello, you might want to change your plans: they only got about 20% of what they got last year. Last year I was still able to get bottles of regular a few days later.

There was plenty ay the Maple Grove Total Wine.

 

Lots of Cafe, Cheri and Wheatwine at TW Minnetonka as of 10 AM or so.

 

Talked to a liquor store owner. Small local shop downtown. Seems the small locals are being cut out in favor of the big shops like TW and Costco. Twin Cities distributors suck! Also BCBS is passé.

 

On a side note....tried mon Cherie and cafe de olla on tap and they are fine enough but certainly not worth the hype or standing in line for.

 

Not much hype around here this year. And I wandered into a store 'round noon & picked up both with no fuss. Sounds like others are having a similar experience.

 

Passé, overhyped, not enough hype, ok folks.

 

Heritage had several cases of '12 bcbs this morning, $20/4pk.
