Grand Delancy is hosting an Aslin mobile can release on the 18th along with 10 beers on tap, including Bale which is one of my favorite peanut butter stouts

Went to Grand Delancey last Sunday....place is incredible. Got to try my first brews from Bissell Brothers and Foam. I love how you can order food from all the other vendors from your booth. We’re in NYC once every month or 2 and I told my wife we’re coming here every time we’re in town.

I went back to the Grand Delancey earlier in the month and had a great time. Bartenders were really excellent. Beer was excellent too. One thing I've noticed is that their turnaround isn't great. Kegs from their opening are still on. I actually see this as both a positive and a negative though. They gave me a taste of the Jarl at that point and to me it seemed like it wasn't holding together anymore. They've had other cask Fyne since (on both pumps last I saw). Had the Bluebird (thanks to you making the statement above), and therefore had it with and without a sparkler on different days (in different places). Post with pics here. (It's actually worth a look for the pics... some discussion followed in that thread.)

Now that the fridge for the bottles is in, bottles are available and the prices are on the menu (which is a PDF on their website). St Lam is $65.
You can also see their events on their website and their Untappd listing.

How do you know they didn't have more than one keg?

I dunno. I think you made a fair assumption.

Pop quiz hotshot. An experienced operator opens up a beer bar in NYC with a killer/esoteric opening tap list. The more geek-centric half of the list is quickly kicked and doesn’t get retapped. You go back a couple weeks later and the less sought after beers still listed. The Jarl tastes stale.

    a) did they double or even triple up on the beers they knew would sell more slowly, and not only that, but immediately retapped them?

    b) are they the same beers?

Re: sparkler. Interesting! Although sparkler or no sparkler that’s still a horrific pour! Will read up on other thread soon

Late to this, but was a fan of churchkey back when I lived in DC. That was also right after college, when my drinking priorities were severely skewed toward abv - if only I had known better

Planning to swing by after work today, that bell’s vanilla stout sounds like a nice way to start the weekend

Quick stop but thought the space was great, sat at the bar for a few 4oz pours. Considering it’s on top of a stop for my local train figure I’ll be back before long

Bell’s folks were there giving out some swag, vanilla black note was great as was the cask two hearted (with some palatine pils to wash it down)

Interesting. I also heard that the Aslin beers making the rounds in NYC up until now are being contract brewed by Torch & Crown, but I didn't bother to check the cans of Master of Karate I got the other week, so I can't confirm.

We checked this place out on 12/30. The tap list was fantastic, and it wasn't crowded at all. Prices were slightly cheaper than most beer bars in Manhattan and Brooklyn. (Apparently Greg has gotten some blow back for under-cutting the competition, but he doesn't GAF.) You guys are lucky to have this place - it's definitely on par with Churchkey as far as I can tell upon first impression.

That is good to hear about the pricing. Beer prices have started to get ridiculous and there needs to be a point were it gets capped.

What?! The bars charging $9 for a pint should be the ones receiving the blow back.

Curious about the contract brewing, where did you hear that? And what do you mean when you say 'I didn't bother checking the cans'? Are there cans that say they were brewed at Torch and Crown?
