Yup, Missed it easily I guess. Would have gone last night if I had known.

What’s the difference between Pastry Town VIP and BA snowbirds 3? Anything? time in barrel?

Atleast I got BA velvet and HDHC citra mosaic. From the reviews it seems I should have gotten a lot
    More though...

I feel a little left out in the OH beer discussion but I haven’t made the trip to Brooklyn in months mostly due to NJ breweries like Kane releasing so much stuff lately. However, I’m still entertained by the thread- most enjoyable in the mid-Atlantic forum for sure.

VIP: Marcona almonds, coconut, toasted coconut, and wild Thai banana
Non-VIP: Marcona almonds, cacao nibs, coconut, toasted coconut, vanilla, coffee, and Ceylon cinnamon

Likely in the barrel for the same amount of time, as originals were both released at the same time. I personally liked the Non-VIP better.

The previous OH... Forever batch was solid but this one is even more fantastic out of the gate. Shout out to this less than heralded brew

Missed out on the hdhc dual today, but wound up at Sand City last night and grabbed a few growers and cans so that will do. I’m currently sipping on of their Infinity varieties and really hope when they open their bigger facility in Lindenhurst that they’ll redo that All Infinity Everything collab. Cause.. that was awesome

You have @jrnyc to "thank" for your confusion. It was his dopey idea, and I just felt like throwing the tired old man a bone.

On a better note, I'm always pleased to have my critical opinions of something challenged by solid evidence which undermines them. I'm speaking of the BA Double Drupe—a big, bold, and flavorful beer which demonstrates that Other Half can in fact pull off an artful, nuanced, and cohesive barrel-aged imperial stout when they get it right.

Here's hoping that henceforth they can make it the rule and not the exception.

No worries if you're an AB InBev man. I root for the Vikings, I like my wide outs small batch and local UDFA like Thielen. To each their own though.

The phrase "read the transcript" has unfortunately become far too loaded these days, but if you only went back a page (or visited the Bourbon County 2019 NYC thread), you'd quickly see that you couldn't be more wrong.

+1. Last batch I had of this was awesome.

Decided to distract from the pain of a shitty work day by opening an equally shitty beer tonight. This carrot cake snowbirds is different than when I had it on tap, but not for the better. Basically holiday-spiced coca cola vs. holiday-spiced cough medicine. I already have a headache.

BA Double Drupe is VERY good. Def blows any of the other OH stouts released this week out of the water and is probably the best Stout they have released this year.

This is meant to be a community guys. Everyone on the same team. Coming on here planting seeds about Drupe infections etc, just to dissuade others from buying the BA version, so that you personally can stock up. Wow.

Having major fomo on this one. Should we expect it on draft this week? hmmm.

Drupe wasn't on yesterday same with the Magnums. Guess they kept the space open for the Horus taps. Side note BA Velvet 2 is getting some pretty mixed reviews so far. Burnt plastic and buttered popcorn aren't exactly the tasting notes I expected.

Surprisingly chill taproom right now, HDHC C+M on for growler fills if you missed cans like me.
