When I was 5 or 6 from either my father or stepfather, Old Milwaukee or Budweiser.

The first beer I sipped was a sneak out of the grandparents' fridge in the basement in the early 80's--PBR.

The first beer as a teenager/young adult--I'm from Iowa, so Busch Light (duh).

The first beer legal (1994)--Miller Lite

The first legal non-macro (1995)---Murphy's Irish Stout

At my grandparent's house, either 7 or 8. Always had this around.

Gave my 3 year old nephew a sip of Pliny the Elder, much better selection.

Probably Old Milwaukee. That is what my Dad drank growing up and I would sneak a sip or 2 here and there when I was a kid.

A female friend of mine handed me a warm Corona. I didn't finish it lol

First time I bought an actual bottle, stopped by the grocery store and the design, color, of Newcastle Brown caught my eye. Turns out, I didn't hate it!

This is maybe late teens or early twenties?

My Mom gave me sips when I was 2. If memory serves she used to drink St Pauli Girl. I liked it.

When I was a teenager, my Dad did some work for Anheuser Busch and we had some Bud Dry in the House. I snuck a can out of the refrigerator. It was awful and I only got through half the can.

My Dad always had returnable pounders of Kaier's in the basement. He'd give me sips as a little kid (like 3 or 4) and would let me take a shot whenever I asked later.

Late 50's, I was 5-6 years old. Silver Top made by Duquesne Brewing out of Pittsburgh. My father would put a bit of salt in the bottle and let me have the first sip of the foam.

Hmmm probably a Michelob Ultra or something that a family member let me taste at a party back in the day.

When I was about 4-5 years old my dad made me drink from his Sterling beer (not the same beer that's being made now). That was in the early 60's. I thought it was so terrible i didn't drink another beer for 20+ years. Then, when I joined the service and was stationed where there was Coors, I had to try it. Better but not by much. Then a few years ago I found good beer!

I've never tasted any Plinys. But, I have no idea how anything could be "much better" than the real Ballantine XXX (from Newark).

Sadly it was a few years after the sale to Falstaff, not sure how much the quality fell off by that time. I liked it at the time, though mostly drank vodka or whiskey over beer in my teenage years. It wasn't until my late 30s, when craft was alive and well, that I shifted from primary spirits to beer.

Surprised many here didn't like their first beers. My nephew loved his Pliny, should probably have gave him a sip of MGD or skunky Heineken to nix the idea of beer tasting good. :sunglasses:

Nah, if I’m drinking Malt Liquor it’s Mickys. Back in the day we did Colt 45 every now and then. Mostly Rolling Rock though.

I remember my dad drinking the white cans with BEER on them and giving me a taste when I was pretty young and it was awful.
I remember sneaking a Coors Original with my buddy from his Dad's stash and we poured most of it out. The first full beer I ever finished was a Coors Light given to me by my brother-in-law and I was around 12. It was awful bit I forced it down to impress him. I never thought I'd be a beer drinker!

By the time I tried a Hamms, it was pretty awful. I remember full cans being tossed out along gravel roads...
