    Well, it is the weekend. And while there was debate recently about when one should start this thread, these are the unofficial rules that I propose should apply regarding starting Saturday’s thread. And if I am wrong, then the moderators can correct me.

    1) is it past 5am East Coast US time?
    2) has the New Beer Weekend thread been started?
    3) did @MattyG85 post his Friday night beers?

    Anyhow, the great thing about this thread is that we are all unique individuals and have our own interests separate from drinking great beer. Two of mine are building LEGOS (either with my kids or the LEGO Architecture on my own) and watching pro wrestling. This weekend, the biggest Japanese wrestling league started their annual tournament. I realized that was happening while working on my Empire State Building set, and decided to stay up, watch the live show online, and have another beer.

    So while some may consider a nerd, I’m happy with myself, I’m happy with the world for a short period of time, and most importantly, I’m happy with this amazing beer. And if you can have any little bit of happiness today, virtual bar brothers and sisters, then why not enjoy it? Cheers!

    [​IMG] Nice opening Matt and all that matters to me, is I get to drink one before I go to my job at the beer store at 8am. Cheers to all and I am happy I didn’t need to open this thread. Also this is actually pretty darn tasty and hazy.

    Oh, great choice, and that's a morning warmer for sure. One of my faves from Cumbre. I also love that their stouts aren't "over the top" big even with some (5 months of) barrel aging. I think they used Four Roses Bourbon for this latest batch. Delicious, not ridiculously high ABV, slightly restrained. And I like that the barrel characteristics don't drown out the base imperial stout character of this beer.

    I just made my second pour to finish the bomber and I’m really liking drinking this RIS. I’ve been to La Cumbre a few times over the years and I think their beers are awesome...first time with one of its stouts - great stuff. Cheers!
