Are you handing out beer to children or are you handing out beer to parents who dress up on Halloween?

I really hope it's the former.

Any love for Milwaukee's Best Premium? I got a 15-pack of this for $5.99 for boiling bratwurst and had a few left over. I tried one and was pleasantly surprised. I don't think you can beat it for the price.

How many people are you planning on giving beer to? If it’s not many, I’d just splurge for a case of a pumpkin ale.

Maybe he doesn't want to take the chance of having leftovers.

Welcome to the BA site, lv317. Sometimes we're serious around here, sometimes not. Hang around and have fun.

Pretty traditional in some regions of the US among certain ethnic groups, isn't it?

I thought the OP made it pretty clear:
Hamm's = Molson Coors product. There's still a few moderately-priced beers coming from non-macro US breweries, but the OP'll have to check his local stores. Genesee, Narragansett, Straub, Lionshead ...

Really? $15/can beers are common? How big is the can? :grinning:

To make sure they don't come back next year?

    @lv317
Get into the spirit of that weekend's tasting and hand out little bottles of 3 Fonteinen
Seriosusly though, go with Genny Cream; it's inexpensive and a little unexpected.

Not everyone who stops at your door would be a beer geek. A true beer geek would appreciate a good AAL which Hamms fits the bill. That said I wouldn't turn my nose up at any beer that was offered to me so whichever route you go I think the effort will be appreciated.

Dale's and Coors Banquet are my go-to everyday canned beers. You can buy 'em almost anywhere, too.

I do not regularly purchase AAL beers but I just visited my local beer reatilers’ website to discover:

    · Coors Extra Gold 30pk Can 30 Pack 12 Oz. Cans 18.86

    · Coors Original 30pk Can 30 Pack 12 Oz. Cans 25.75

It would seem that Coors Extra Gold is a sub-premium brand?

    Cheers!

I would like to receive a Founders Solid Gold lager can on Halloween, and the 12pks run about as cheap as the macros here. Their 15pks are pretty good deals too, and the beers are a more interesting and unexpected treat I think. It might be nice to get something different that you don't normally think about.
I'm wondering, are you giving out candy as well? because how else would the kids be attracted to your house to have the parents come over for a beer, and how many parents would even accept a random beer? Interesting idea...

A true beer geek would already have good beer with them.

The kids don't like the cheap classics. Sure, you could throw some Dale's Pale Ale, Jai Alai, Guyabera, Von Trapp, Guinness Extra, Sierra Nevada, Allagash White, or a nice affordable local lager, but they won't appreciate that stuff. That's like getting an orange or a toothbrush in your candy bag. These kids want milkshake IPAs, smoothie sours, and double-frooted Berliner IPA popsicle weisse slushies.

Is Sloop distro to Maryland? They're fairly reasonable in price, and of all brands in that price range I would be happiest to receive Sloop.

Hamm's, or High Life. I'd be happy either way.

If Jack's Abby's house lager has made it down to Maryland, that would a a great choice.

Back when I had a wagon and a cooler, cooler had beer and softdrinks and extra space was for candy dump. Now that I have grandkids, going to have to donate the wagon to my son in law.

Hamm's is simply a great value. It tastes very nice for sure.
