No inside info but I share your excitement here. Welcome back, Sump!

Super excited that they’re releasing it in 16 oz. cans instead of a 750 ml bottle. The dark matter coffee ones last year were good, but sump is usually on another level.

Says they're coming next week. I wonder if there will be packages this year?

The Wine and Cheese Place announced on IG they'd have DDH House Clouds soon, the DDH variant being exclusive to TWCP.

Sump packages up in Oznr for PdC members. Vanilla sump is the variant.

There is no Vanilla Sump. The beans used put off notes of Vanilla.

    Description here:

Two distant beans (from El Salvador and Ethiopia) are roasted and then united to deliver a punchy riff on Sump. Notes of vanilla, graham cracker, and red berries mingle with the stout base. Chocolate is less pronounced but the earthy, woody foundation stands resolute. The beer finishes with a kiss of brightness from the brief impression of anise liquor and cold apple wedges

And for clarification purposes for anyone not familiar with the history of Sump Coffee Stout, Variant is always strictly a different bean or a different bean blend. Nothing to do with adjuncts.

    Thanks for the clarification!

The description sounds wonderful to me. Vanilla, graham, and berry flavors in coffee are exquisite.

Just to pop in again and make another clarification:

Neither BA Sump nor Anniversary are releasing this weekend. Clearing this up since you quote tweeted a question regarding that.

From the email regarding the regular Sump and the Sump variant this weekend:

Sump will be ready on Saturday, 1/16! Available for the first time in 16oz cans, 2 packs of both regular and variant will be sold to-go at the brewery and on Square for $14 each. Sump draft will be available on-site Saturday at noon, variant on Sunday at noon.
