You may think this is a made up title, but it’s not. It comes with a time share in Aruba and a Dodge Stratus

Fyi, jaroslav looks and feels like an amber despite it’s “dark lager” tag. Even being a misfit, it’s a very well made beer, Schilling shows.

    I really enjoyed Modernism.

Have not had the other two you listed.

I’d recommend Notch’s Černe Pivó, black lager.

Btw, welcome! A lot of great lager options here and it will only taste better as the weather improves. Cheers!

haven’t seen much Notch in my neck of woods (at least as of yet) I have had Infinite Jest and Polotmavy. I traded for the later a few years back.

    I drive a Toyota Corolla!

Also, I want my time share to be in Portland. Plus we can go back now!

Thread related, might pick up some Salem Lager today.

Also, had my last Sunny Ridge last night. Does anyone else feel this beer used to be more German Pils than Czech Pale Lager in years past?

I know it’s currently labeled as a “Czech Pils” now, but still. Regardless, really solid beer.

Yeah, I’m not sure how far out certain beers in their portfolio make it so as to not mislead you. Certain Salem brewed beers are distro’d, dark lager or not, always try to grab those if you see them.

2014. You’re talking about their “new German Pilsner”

Speaking of Sunny Ridge, I recall at one point getting a 12-pack of it, but I could be mistaken. Was SR 12-packs ever a thing?

I used to be down at JA once a month or so, and I quite miss it. I'm excited to get back down to visit when the beergarden is open, the weather is warmer, I can unload my kids on vaccinated grandparents, and I can behave (within reason) irresponsibly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned Redemption Rock out of Worcester. I believe their only lager is "Three Decker" which is a fantastic Helles. One of my favorites for sure. Check it out.

I've seen that beer around and I'm interested in trying it, but I think they're charging $15-16 for a four pack. No matter how good it might be, that's never going to fly when House Lager is sitting there at literally half the cost, along with several other great lagers selling for a much more reasonable price.

    BOURBON BARREL-AGED MAPLE RAUCH

This rare, special release barrel-aged offering uses Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, first-aged Runamok Maple syrup. After the syrup was aged and packaged, we filled the barrel with our Maple Smoked Lager, then aged it for a year. This liquid treasure has an upfront bourbon presence that blends nicely with the subtle smoke of the lager. You will find characteristics of the barrel to include; vanilla, wood, hints of maple, and a touch of smoke.
