No RSVP is required. Fit as many BAs as you can in your vehicle for your journey to 3 Sheeps Brewing on 7/10/21!

I’ve never paid $39.99 for a bottle of good quality ale before, but I couldn’t give up this rarity 2014 “Barrel Roll” Russian Imperial Stout brewed with Maple Syrup and aged in Bourbon barrels from Hangar 24 Brewery. It’s bottle number 7539 of 11,220 bottles, coming in at 18.9% ABV. I’ll be drinking this to celebrate my wedding anniversary. I guess the photo isn’t posting

Thanks, I'm planning on an after dinner beer, my knee is starting to ache again so I think they are wearing off. Who knew 3 year old pills would work so good.

That wrapper is what’s referred to as a barber pole. It looks to me like a Maduro/Connecticut blend which should be fairly light but also flavorful. Are you picking up any particular notes to speak of? RP makes some great cigars. Enjoy!
Edit: a quick google tells me it is a Corojo/Maduro, not a Connecticut as I mentioned.

Had one To Ol earlier and then some sweet chestnut beer(Marron) from my friend's place.
Yesterday at night i found myself lost in the middle of too many stouts while playing cards with some friends.

In the immortal words of the band Kansas, when I saw them at Iowa Jam over 40 years ago "It's hotter than pigf##k out here." Haven't been able to find Bohemia Pilsner Cerveza Clara around here for quite some time. But that all ended today at Fareway buying steaks for tomorrow. A wonderful Mexican lager not crying out for a lime.

I need to get my "cigar palate" more tuned. Though you did make me think about my "light" concept - and to me, in highly generalized terms, it seems a little more like cigarettes. I thnk I might go so far as to say maybe a bit more hay or dry grass than richer notes I've seen describe cigars?

Sorry to say I wasn't paying much more attention today, just enjoying the experience. I should maybe pay more attention to flavors, but I'm still kinda at the do I like it or not phase of cigars.

I will say, tangentially, I think watching smoke swirl slowly on a near-still day is a soothing, mesmerizing activity. Cheers!

Last summer [2020] was my summer of IPAs, because I never liked IPAs, thought they always tasted under-cooked. But since last summer was 97 days in a row of over 100 degrees & no rain, plus lockdown, I was bored so I tried a lot of IPAs and now about half the time I drink IPAs. Last summer Odell (Ft Collins) had a 'Wolf Picker' which I cannot find now, but truly enjoyed. Now mostly drinking Odell Mtn Standard IPA. Plus re-discovered Carlsberg Elephant Pils. A fav also is Lumberyard [Flag] Knotty Pine which not sure they are still brewing.

Well fellow BA's in case anyone really cares. I have been missing in action for sometime now due to losing my job. Need money to buy beer and to share with you guys and gals. I hope that my job search will be quick and I will be back on here more with some delicious beers. Don't get me wrong I still have some beer but I have been drinking the cheap shit and don't really feel like sharing a pic of a Coors light can. Anyway to all the BA's that have traded with me and have been around here for quite some time along with me, I will land on my feet and come out better than ever. Cheers!

Hop Butcher/Toppling Goliath Perceptor IPA (Mosaic/Motueka). Dank blueberry, lemon, lime, yuzu, grass, and pine to name a few. Really well done, especially for a light 5.5% IPA.

This is some advice I will give you regarding cigars that it took me a long time to understand regarding flavors. All cigars have that smoke/hay/not so good flavor while they are young. I can’t say how old the cigar you are smoking is or how long it has rested in your humidor before you smoked it. But a lot of those guys expressing those crazy delightful sounding flavors are smoking cigars that are 1+ years aged in their choice humidity. You can buy a 40$+ cigar from your cigar shop and ride home with it in your car and put it to rest for a day or two in your humidor and it will be unsatisfying flavor wise. Most smokers agree a cigar needs at least 3 weeks to rest after being purchased online or in stores and optimal aging occurs anywhere from 1 year to many many more in your humidor at your choice humidity before optimal flavors can be enjoyed. Cheers! If you are ever interested in trading a box of beer, a cigar extra could be included.(of course not as part of the trade lest my account be deleted for trading something besides beer)
