I have quite possibly overlooked it. I’ll keep my eye out though.

That was a facetious *only,* to the obvious recognition of the beer by BA members. Including you and me.

Sucks to be Michigan, I guess.

FWIW -- I usually see the 4-pack cans, not those shorty bottles, so much.

Not sure how widespread it is, but that unfiltered Grevensteiner is on tap at the the Yardhouse locations out here. I *think* I saw it at the Las Vegas strip location, too, but that has been 18 months ago. It's pretty decent. I feel normal 'ol Veltins isn't bad for what it is. It isn't Keesmann, but it isn't Beck's, either.

:wink:Never fear, I am very fortunate in every other beer style. I do appreciate the recommendation and will post if I come by it. I have a scheduled shopping trip Saturday. Cheers.

I once had Grevensteiner on draft at a bar in Pasadena. I found it oddly sweet. But I would certainly try it again!

My experience with Grevensteiner has always reminded me of the Helles I drank in Bavaria -- same good maltiness.

Unless, of course, it was past prime. Then it was just sort of flat in character all around.

Never had in on draft, though -- tap lines are always suspect when a beer tastes different than what I expect.

I feel like discovering the wonderful world of lagers is like the red pill and blue pill in the Matrix, with the red pill showing you lagers.

“This is your last chance. After this there is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up and find yourself standing back in line waiting for the latest New England IPA. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember, all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more.”
