Little Rock is a hell of a lot closer than Phoenix.

I picked up some New Anthem beers yesterday from Dominion. Ba’al and Hooked up in stitches. Both excellent

The Brew Gentleman General Braddock’s IPA that CBC brought in for their anniversary is really good. They still have some left.

Also, have been trying recent Other Half DC IPAs, and they seem to be dialing things in. Irving Wine in Mt. Pleasant sells singles at not much of a mark-up, if any.

Do they do this often? I'd like to order but not sure I'll be able to find people to split the case with in time...minimum order is 6x 4-packs or ~$120.

Honest question, is this generally true? I just picked up a 4 pack of Diamond Reflection and it is pretty terrible. Taste is overly malty and looks nothing like the NY versions I see on untapped. I’d like to not have to drive to MD to grab BK OH but every DC IPA I’ve tried is garbage. That said haven’t bought a DC IPA in a while so hoping this is a one-off.

They do not do this often. It's been a while since they've done home delivery.

I'd be curious to hear more was well. My early experiences with OH DC left me with the impression they still needed to dial things in further. The DC beers fell well short of the standard I'd come to expect from the NY-brewed cans I've had. I took a break on them for a while before giving it another shot around Memorial Day, but I still didn't feel it was up to par, and I haven't been back since.

That said, if the OH page in the Northeast forum is to be believed, the long-time OH fans in NY are seeing quality slippage, so maybe OH is having issues across their breweries.

I am definitely not an expert here but I found OH to be much improved from early visits, found the NYC stuff as inconsistent as the DC stuff when I visited early, and thought the floor was much higher recently. But it’s also not good enough to make me not want to stock up on TH when I’m in MA and TC when in Richmond.

Poetry Snaps (rice lager) is the best thing I’ve had out of there

Anyone see the Stella Artois x Palace Skateboards cans? Apparently in random 7-11's.

They look like the normal SA cans but say 'Palace Artois'

I was at OH about a month ago and I thought they had a few offerings that were excellent. A few were just good but nothing was terrible

I had a couple of drain pours early on, so I stayed away. All I can say now is that the run of new beers I’ve tried have all been very good. Drinking a DDH Crushed Gems right now (that I see is actually almost two months old, looking at the bottom of the can) and it’s great— love the citra and simcoe combo.

Just noticed these comments in the Northeast region's OH thread. Apparently, the current galaxy crop is awful. Some breweries are reportedly altering brewing plans to avoid it, though OH seems undeterred. With Galaxy Reflection being billed as galaxy-forward, that could explain your disappointing experience.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of the galaxy crop info, but I thought I'd flag the discussion for awareness.

I've had tons of drainpours from OHDC since they opened, none had Galaxy.

That’s interesting. I tried a few more IPAs from OHDC since my original post. While better than Diamond Reflection, none really stood out or made me want to seek out stuff from them again. Since DTC is only 20 minutes from work I guess I’ll just keep stocking up on TC or Veil drops for my hazy fix.

The Galaxy hop crop issues have persisted for several years now...

Hopefully this Parish drop at Dominion becomes a regular thing. I could deal with a steady flow of fresh GITM.

All of OH's galaxy beers are awful. All of Treehouse's galaxy beers are still amazing.
