Postimage spam links

Oh damn. One more thing on my to undo list. Ugh.

 

My bad. I am guessing it is postimage? I have noticed added “link” words after a picture I post. I usually catch it. Edit and delete the added words.

That would be the only thing I can think of? If it is something different, let me know. Accept my apologies and if you’re ever in the Tri-Cities (Wa), I owe you a NOG.

EDIT - just noticed the title of this thread (I just clicked on the thread through my alerts. Reading through the entire thread now. Don’t believe I have malware on my iPad. I think it is just those weird worded links that show up at the end. Looks like I let a few slip through.

 

Speak for yourself. It stopped working for me at some point and since then I’ve been using post images. I went back to the Imgur app and have no clue how to use it for pics.

 

it was why I switched to postimage. Imgur stopped working for me.

 

I still have the Imgur app on my phone but can’t figure out how to post a pic with it at this point. Don’t even remember how and why it stopped working for me but forgot how to even use it.

 

Yeah, I used to use Imgur, and one day they became completely incompatible with BA. So I stopped posting pics. Then I learned about PostImages, and it was so easy. Now I'm in pic limbo over here.

 

I haven't tried the app yet but I got it to work in my PC. That said, I'm glad postimages is working again.

 

Obviously @Todd you have some work fixing things, but if you find the time. I am curious if you noticed these spam links in my posts— Are they the older ones or recent ones?

If it is older ones, then it has to be before I noticed the links. If it is recent ones, then head scratch. I thought I fixed the problem and I guess I didn’t.

I had seen a few of those add-on links, and just figured I screwed up somehow. I would delete them out when I saw them. Shrug.

 

Yes I saw Todd was allowing postimages for now but I wanted to see if I could use Imgur. Postimages is extremely easy and fast for posting pics.

Post images makes posting on this website incredibly easy. I hope this isn’t an overreaction to the addition of their imbedded advertising links which you can easily remove when posting.

It’s been far too difficult to post photos on BA for far too long. Postimages has made this process super easy. Please think this through before finalizing that decision.

 

Speaking of overreactions, it looks like this may have already been resolved. My bad peeps, my bad.

But for real don’t take away postimages

 

I’ve never once been spammed by post images.

 

Other alternative to make @Todd 's job (and others of course) "less hard" is if we could go back and edit after 15 minutes, then I could strip out the extra link stuff that comes with the free posting from postimage services. Frustrating.
Well, if we go back to text-only, it's OK - I can do that from my phone, and then just post from imgur (when workign) from my laptop.
The Dude will abide.

Well, thats what I use. I also edit the spam links out. They're at the end, so it's easy to do.

 

Thanks @Todd - didn't realize that those things were somehow (potentially?) malignant links - just figured it was part of the "free" version of post-image and never really paid attention to the double line coding when I copied pasted into the feeds on WBAYDN.
I'll try to be vigilant from here on out.
