Just a PSA, looks like there's some upcoming closed dates around the Invitational & Easter:

Forever Darkness 4/5 at 10am CT. I like this so much more than the untimed/random releases where I shamefully burn more time than I should refreshing.

I think them posting it to the store today in a package with DB Derivation then cancelling those orders afterwards and saying April Fools would have been more amusing...

as soon as i posted that i immediately thought to myself “the real April Fool’s post would have been ‘Forever Darkness single bottles for sale next week. no packages!!’”

It's sad that a stout bottle for sale individually is considered a joke now lol

    Only at SP :stuck_out_tongue:

I joke, but…Does anyone else do this? Perhaps Hill Farmstead might be considered, but in that case I believe those beers are also being shipped, so that’s a bit different. The only other instance I have to compare “packages” to that is really analogous is liquor stores that do the same thing.

First experience with this particular beer over the weekend and I must say it was rather impressive. The botanicals are complemented perfectly by the barrels. Clean and crisp with nice oak and some slight funk. My only criticism would be that it's a bit on the acidic side and I would much rather have it packaged in a 750.

If acidity is an issue with it as far as drinking experience at 375 ml, why would you want it in a larger format? Seems like 375 would be a saving grace versus a larger bottle in dealing with the acidity. Or did it not bother you enough that you just want more of the beer/large bottle?

For me, I find that acidity can be a chore to overcome in a larger bottle if it’s present on the first pour, etc.

The acidity wasn't pronounced enough to deter me from a larger bottle size. It was just the only thing about the experience I would have changed slightly to make it a perfect beer.

For the invitational, what do we bring for proof of purchase? I never received any physical or digital tickets and just have the email listing that I purchased an order. Am I missing something?
