Same, I no longer buy the packages anymore. The packages have gotten out of hand, I think it used to just be 2 extra saisons, now it's consistently 3 extra saisons. Especially now that some stout packages have gone to 375mL format, getting 3 extra 750mL sours for a 375mL stout is just a little ridiculous. It's probably cheaper to just buy the stout on secondary than buying the package. The packages are like $180-200 after taxes/shipping/proxy fee, when I can get Forever Darkness for $170 shipped on secondary (and it'll probably keep dropping in price).

I get it though, Cory needs to move inventory on his saisons that no one wants to drink anymore. Most of them have become way too acidic recently, so the packages are the way to get rid of them. I just wish the packages were more reasonable to be something like 1 saison with a 375mL bottle, or 2 saisons for a 750mL bottle. Or maybe he could just brew less sours.....

 

All this package talk is making me thirsty…happy hump day. Cheers!

I loved the Nelson version, partial to Nelson hops, so we’ll so how this one is.




Had BdP Blend #11 yesterday and I found it to be just okay. I wasn’t expecting anything earth shattering, but I recall enjoying previous blends more. It was a tale of two pours for me; first was bright, lively, and crisp. the second pour was muted, lacking a ton of flavor, and lost the crispness. First pour looked great though.
