Use your wife/girlfriends page. You can secure better deals when the dude thinks he’s trading with some babe also so that’s a plus. Lol

Sweet baby Jesus. I'd drink that EHT BP in literally every conceivable scenario over trading it for a beer.

I think most sensible people would but that just shows the hype that has been built around some of these beers. I can’t see something from any other brewery with the exception of some rare HF pulling a bottle like that

Fuck INU. @flat_lander , you’re correct that one of the Three Chiefs’ brewers worked briefly at INU, but he moved back to Cali. He was literally the only thing keeping this shit brewery afloat, as the beers he brewed were actually pretty solid, albeit fully aboard the Cali pastry stout train. However, the issue isn’t with him, but w/ the owners of INU, as they are in a straight cash grab and refuse to fix their canning/bottling issues, which have left many a beer infected/exploded in some person’s fridge/cellar. Whenever I or a friend have tried messaging them, we get ghosted.

As far as everyone having access to good breweries, that couldn’t be further from the truth in Hawaii, w/ the exception of lagers/pilsners, or less often, the occasional sour. We have a lot of amazing things in Hawaii, but craft beer isn’t something I’d be bragging about to my beer friends.

Saw a trade offer for the Homage Robot cuvée 1:1 with Art b6. Don’t want to be rude but this seems wildly off.

To me it seemed like it would take 2-3 West Ashley Cuvée’s to get an Art. And West Ashley is miles ahead of wild pink robots at baseline imho.

It's off based on current values. You are right. But, OP shooting his/her shot like we all do. Either it won't close and OP will regroup. Or it will and Robot Cuvee will rise in value. It never hurts to try once, but it gets annoying when folks repost the same skewed trade. In this case, seems reasonable to put it out there. Homage is an up and coming brewery and this wouldn't be the wildest trade to close.

I think you are spot on with 2-3 Waxley for Art. I personally don't see the all the fanfare about Art. I have several and find it to be a good, not great beer. Maybe I'm missing something. Sammy > Art.

Speaking of shooting your shot, would the following be in the ballpark of Rye BBT?

Assassin 22 + Nillerzzzz 22 for Rye BBT

Looking at OP’s other offers, this seems to be a pattern of shooting his/her shot.

    Sounds good.
I don’t want to be directly sabotaging anyone’s trade offers. Just curious if the pink robot cuvée had somehow exploded in trade value.

I’m thinking not. You’d be better off selling the bottles and using the money to buy one. I just don’t think these two are big enough even though the secondary dollar amounts might get you close to $4$.

Scratch that. In the last 20 minutes I’ve seen two BBT Rye packages for sale on FB for 250 or less and trade posted here for KBBS 21. In other words, value is dropping really fast and with the “right set of eyes”, your offer is probably actually on the generous side. Cheers.

Sales & Whiskey trades are not the same thing as beer.

Unless you routine sell beer, which I am willing to gauge most people on this site don't, then these are different values.

Right now I am mainly seeing beer trades on FaceSpace around the 2-3 VRU range. That's for beer trades.

I'm sure if you make your own whiskey in your bathtub you can probably trade it for 2 RBBT in the St. Louis groups. Those guys are starved for subpar whiskey...

Hard to say since there has been a new public release. Judging by the trades on FB this may be light, but never hurts to test the waters. You may as well shoot your shot.

Based on the fact that some people think that Rye BBT is the best beer they have ever had, I don't personally think this trade would close, but sometimes it just takes the right set of eyes.

I respectfully disagree. Most people are gauging what big beers are worth dollar wise in the secondary market and basing their valuation for what they can get bourbon or beer wise on that. Im not sure if you’ve noticed but people seem far more interested in selling than they are trading these days. To me it seems crucial to consider cash value in any trade anymore unless it’s an informal locals trade or trading with a buddy. Cheers.

I didn’t at first either but the bottle values are on. And if you don’t get “right set of eyes” sell the assassin for 170 and the nillerzzz for 100+ and buy your BBT package and pocket the rest.

I do not agree at all.

If you look at strictly values, folks who move beer for whiskey or cash get less in return than folks who trade for beer. Vice versa if you have cash or whiskey then you get great deals on beer. One can sell a BBT 2021 for 250, but if they want to trade it for beer they can get a lot more than an Assassin with a small plus for that beer. The same is true for almost every beer. Same with whiskey. What people call "whiskey tax" is basically a moniker that explains why beer does not hold value to whiskey.

For those folks that are interested in selling they can look at their razzle groups or SBVG for values, but even look at that page and notice that the beer trades are higher in value for almost every beer than cash or whiskey.

For folks who are interested in seeing if their beer(s) will close another beer, then I think the Trade Value Thread is a great resource to see if values are close.

Don't confuse the Trade Value thread with SBVG or Facebook. They are not the same thing, nor are the values.

    Cheers and thank you.

I'd been keeping an eye on BCBS Blanton's creeping up the top 250 but just noticed it was gone from there and is now marked "Retired", despite the rest of the '22 BCBS beers all still being active.

Do you think this makes it harder to trade, if there will be less folks ISO it? Trying to decide if I should trade it now or hang on for a year or two.

Weird they retired it. I don't think it will be harder to trade. Bourbon county barrel variants typically trade solid. Plus that was a really cool release with the bottle bag and the mini horse corked topper

Its usually frowned upon to post an iso for a beer that was not released yet correct? Ww is releasing their version of dm on friday so wasnt sure if i should get rejected today or wait until friday.
