I wonder if this leads to a "No Zombie Ice" sign in the door at some point.

People will ask for it anyway.

I'm only a few sips in but I think BA Behemoth has a sweeter finish than recent batches. Also the hops feel a lil more subdued.. still present but the beer overall seems more balanced. I really enjoy it

I'm biased because it's my favorite beer. Not saying it's the best beer but it holds a special place in my soul. Cheers

Upon further review this is definitely the best BA Behemoth since the bottle format change

Dammit...really wanted a reason to pass on that stuff.
My local Binny's has it next to some Crushing Mass still sitting around. So how can I NOT buy that too?!? #NotEvenFirstWorldProblems

    So…is zombie ice:
    A) bud ice style frozen and thawed
    B) made with cryo hops, or
    C) a “cold IPA”

label just says “undead double pale ale” so I hope it’s not their entry into the cold IPA genre.

i’ve been wondering the same thing… and quite frankly i think we may be putting too much thought into it. it’s more than likely just a middle man between ZD and PF.

Good with that. I am not a fan of the cold ipa trend so was just curious if anyone had seen the full label.

I'm thinking Zombie Ice is just following the lead of higher ABV beers being labeled "Ice.."

Also I saw FFF respond in a social media post that this will be year round so I wouldn't expect them to make a year round beer if it had a gimmick to it

It’s just double zombie dust… Single
    IPA vs Double.

If you believe Zombie Dust is a pale ale then you’ll believe Zombie Ice is undead.

    was going to say:

    APA (ZD)
    DAPA (the ice)
    IAPA (PF)

didn’t PF always say “Imperial Pale Ale”?

You’ve mentioned PF twice now in relation to Zombie Dust. Has FFF said PF is an stronger ZD or where are you making this correlation?

I don’t know the exact recipe, but it was discussed years ago that PF only used Citra hops. I found this thread from another site but again, not sure of the validity.

I want to say when PF was first introduced it highlighted a certain hop, and I don't think it was Citra, but my old brain can't pull the info. Also been a while since I've had a PF.

EDIT: Scrolling WAYYYYYYY back on Untappd check ins to this beer a bunch of my friend's '13-'14 check ins all mention Citra, so it does seem like we were lead to believe this was all Citra hops.

According to this old interview with Pig Destroyer’s Scott Hull, he/the band suggested to FFF "a souped-up version of Zombie Dust" so the similarity of Citra hops with ZD anyway lines up with that.
