Dovetail released their 2023 schedule today:

Looks like new for 2023 beers will include a "TBA" a Berliner Weisse and a dubbel.

Wondering if this forthcoming collaboration with Binny's is the TBA release? Looking forward to it either way.

No we left this off the schedule, since most of it will (obviously) head to Binny’s (we’ll have a small amount in the taproom tho) — the TBA is still

Wasn't sure where to post this but I got someone coming through the area and I'm looking to get the best lager type beers available. Not real familiar with that area but thinking Dovetail (Vienna, Hefe, Helles) and Goldfinger (Helles, Vienna, Doppel)? Also having them grab some Urban Chestnut as well. Are Dovetail and Goldfinger the ones I want from the area? Any others I should look for.

This is where they will be stopping.

I would say (in order of where I personally rank them):
    Goldfinger
    Art History
    Roaring table
    Dovetail

also P3 (Phase 3) has some nice lagers. They just released their Polish pils which is a beer I’m a big fan of.

Which Sal's? I think they are all relatively close to each other anyway so I'll recommend a better play for you to order from Bottle Theory, which I believe is a newer store in Elmhurst that sells singles. Here is their current To Go list (https://www.toasttab.com/bottle-theory-542-spring-road/v3/). Submit your order and have your representative pick up the order. I presume you can do this but maybe reach out to the store beforehand to make sure. That list looks to have all your lager needs present, plus with singles you can try even more hopefully.

Double clutch and Church Street are also doing some nice stuff. Metropolitan is also an old standby.

Picked up the Sticke Altbier collab with Binny's and enjoyed my first can. Will give it a bit more focus next time but hit the spot tonight.

In my limited understanding, Altbier = dark Kolsch?

@OleWorm please be kind about my ignorance.

Ooh, you do not want to call an Altbier a "dark Kölsch" around a Düsseldorfer lol

Really, I'd argue the only thing that Altbier and Kölsch have in common is that they are top-fermented beers made along the Rhine. While Kölsch has that water cracker-like malt flavor, with delicate floral hop aroma and subtle apple-y esters, Altbiers are much more assertively bitter, with a little more malt character, but still very drinkable. You may get more fig-fruity type esters from an Altbier.

According to the chart in the OP, the grodziskie and the altbier should be out? Anyone have reviews of those? I definitely want to try them.

Anyone know if those get distributed to Wisconsin? I didn't have much luck with their beer finder on the website. Last year I did see the maibock in WI, but I'm not sure about the alt and the grodziskie

Both are excellent, but the Grdoz holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite beers they've ever released.

@OleWorm could probably help with that question.
