Dude. The (un)fortunate reality is that my 260 lb of massiveness can handle 2 17s like an appetizer. That’s a mere 7 Beer Equivalents. The one after those two is what would do me in.

I have two Willetized tucked away for a rainy day! I’m on the lookout for more Narwhal!!

 

I think it’s a pretty good deal these days. Willetized is still the best deal in beer (maybe Julius and Green for $15 4-pack at tree house). Tasting great. It’s a char, coconut and bourbon heavy vintage (2022) and tastes very similar to parabola. Imo, stouts just taste better out of bottles, so Parabola edges it (not to mention I can’t buy it here, and the forbidden fruit is always the sweetest).

Silk by Wander Beyond Brewing in collaboration with Pomona Island Brew Co.

A 13% Imperial stout blended with Woodruff and Meadowdweet.

Something slightly unusual for me with this one, rather herby and earthy and a lot more fragrant than you'd expect but still a very nice stout.

 

This one was really special. Big thanks to the guys at Mortalis for sending one my way.

Peach Brandy Leto - 13% ABV

Viscous, motor oil pour. Small brown head of foam forms but is quick to settle.

Peach cobbler on the nose right away; notes of vanilla, marscapone frosting, shortbread cookies, and caramelized peaches.

The palate hits you with peach ring vibes immediately, but settles quickly into a more complex profile. Hints of charred oak, burnt caramel, peach whiskey, and mild nuttiness to accompany trailing dark chocolate.

The mouthfeel is excellent; soft and viscous but not overly thick or syrupy. Coats the palate and finishes with a boozy warmth on a long finish.
