Got a few stovepipes of Double Broken Heels at my local Sheetz earlier today. Half of the cans it’s hard to see, but can tell it’s 5/1/23. The other half, it looks like half of the stamper missed the can . . .

Same with the SOB hill I got. They’re stamped, but it barely made the lip of the can. Not sure why they just can’t stamp in the center of the can bottom like everyone else seems to do.

Love New Trail, but I’d assume a cheap system?

As others have posted there does seem to be dates but I find them hard to read. Instead of placing the dates on the bottom of the can it is on a lip and it seems like the ink is 'minimized' (i.e., very faint).

If they are going to implement dates why not do it the 'right' way?

    Cheers!

Glad they're finally doing this and I'll probably buy something at some point, but South County and Brew Gentlemen haven't done anything to lose my PA IPA business so I'll stick with them for the most part.

    Could not agree more.
I visit the beer store weekly, so if a New Trail wasn't there last week it's probably fresh. But why should I have to put up with this BS? Just date your freakin' cans!
Ever Grain has displaced NT as my fave brewery, but they don't date-stamp either. I still buy their stuff under the "if it's Wednesday it's probably fresh" assumption, but WTF.
South County is 3 miles from home - and they do (finally!) date their product. (They didn't used to.) So that's a good alternative, except I feel that their quality has been inconsistent since they moved into their new fancy-schmancy digs.
    Aaah, such first-world problems.....

Yeah, but having easy to read/understand canning dates is not much of an ask.

    Cheers!

New Trail moved to new cans for the 19.2 oz beers and I mentioned it in this review:

    New Beer Weekend #149

I noticed this because there were April dates (old cans) in front of May dates (new cans) and the blue top on the new ones caught my eye.

New Trail just did a collab with Other half:

A double release on a Friday? and they are collabs with another Pennsylvania brewery? Yes to both.

We brought back a favorite of yours and did a follow-up to give you even more of what @newtrailbrewing and @otherhalfphilly can offer when we put our minds together.

Philly Late Night is exclusively available online and in OH taprooms.

Pennsylvania Daybreak, also in the taprooms, will be available at some of your favorite local shops throughout the state.

    Check your local listings.

    ----------

Philly Late Nights Triple IPA (9.5%)
Our friends at New Trail teamed up with us on this massive triple IPA with Motueka and Citra Incognito hot side and a big mix of all-star hops cold side: Citra, Citra Cryo, Riwaka, Motueka, Strata, Nelson Sauvin, Nectaron, and Centennial.

    Pennsylvania Daybreak Imperial IPA (8.0%)
An Imperial IPA collab with our friends at New Trail Brewing brewed as a follow-up to Pennsylvania Nights. Pennsylvania Daybreak is loaded with Citra, Strata, Motueka, and Riwaka on a simple grain bill with pilsner, oats, and wheat.
