    Hello and good day all!

The sun was missing in action for a number of weeks and is sort of back, sporadically since the beginning of the week. Does feel nice.

Drinking l’Angelus Triple. A French beer, 8% in a large 750ml bottle but one glass of it should be enough for now before I recap it.

    Cheers!

You really must catch it on the radio. Thank God that wasn't long ago.

    Good morning,
after a bad (sports) evening, there is always the opportunity for redemption.
As Roma in Rotterdam without its fans (transfer mutually prohibited, as usual. Except for the Tirana Final) and Virtus starting the craziest competition in Italian basketball, the Final eight of the Italian Cup in Turin, as @The_Kriek_Freak well knows.
Last night I had a simmer, breathing a bit of sea air in my Ostia in the company of this fresh can brought from the fridge at home.

Radiocraft Brewery (Albano Laziale, ITA) - DIRTY HARRY - Pacific Pale Ale (Gluten free) 5%

33 cl can purchased directly from the brewery (12 cans of your choice €40).
Light golden colour, very clean almost completely transparent (I read it uses Pils and Pale malts).
    Tropical and ripe citrus aromas.
The foam is minimal and of poor consistency.
In the mouth, a beer with a very light body not supported by lively carbonation (far from it).
Citrus flavors are found (pink grapefruit, ripe orange) with tropical nuances on the finish (pineapple, passion fruit).
It's not a bitter beer, but a dry one.
Light in everything: in the smoothness and intensity of the taste.
A greater fizziness would certainly have contributed to transmitting greater freshness.
Poor carbonation in cans is an increasingly common trait.
And when I gave examples of canned beers with the right carbonation, I was often told that it depends on the packaging machinery, some would cause the product to foam too much and that the carbonation is specifically designed for the can.
Honestly, the can already reduces a cost, if you don't have the machinery to make your beers in cans perform at their best this leaves me wondering... But I'm speaking as a consumer, not as a producer.
Then I didn't insist, but I pointed this out to the guys at the brewery (including the Brewmaster).

Sorry for your bad carbonation and even worse brewer explanation experience @Jack_14 . Stunatu indeed.

Much better experience here with a Swiss beer, yes a Swiss one I rarely see in WBAYDN.

Pulled this out for Cellaruary, see link if interested. Minor variances from year to year, but overall let this warm for 30 minutes and you'll be happy that you had patience. Highly recommend this offering if you ever come across these bottles. If my patience continues, I will wait until tomorrow to finish the remaining half of this 750 ml bottle.

It will be an interesting tournament for sure. Virtus hasn't won it since the days of Manu so it is about time. It was crazy that Brescia won the final last year. I predict a Milano-Virtus final this year.

Hello BAs! Early for some, late for others but no matter! The bar light is ON and thanx @Shanex for that. Yesterday was very nice and I awoke today to over 6 inches of fresh snow. So here we go to start the show! Starting up my snowblower for the 1st time this winter and am shaking my head in amazement at just that alone. My driveway plus the neighbors is 100% me = beer-power and man, we got the beer! Full sun with 30F for high temp deserves Bell's 2023 Black Note Stout. Pretty big. Cheers!

Good morning/afternoon BAs! I took yesterday off as a cleanse day. I hope y’all had a swell VD.

I’ve busied myself with the usual morning mundane, its coffee time - “Working Lunch” a bourbon barrel aged breakfast imperial porter from Cerebral Brewing, Denver CO. Aged 11 months in Heaven Hill and BLIS Maple Syrup Bourbon Barrels, then conditioned on Jubilee Roasting Co.’s Guatemala Las Rosas (coffee), peanuts and Vermont maple syrup:

Bottled 2/2023. Poured at 54°. Boozy at 14.1%. Overall, too much going on here and unbalanced. On the one hand it is sweet maple sugar sweet candy smacking down what’s left of the bitter roast coffee; and both flavors are overwhelmed by peanut butter. Bourbon is an afterthought…if you like peanut butter flavored beers, this beer may be the one for you to shell…

    4.0 | 4.25 | 4.0 | 4.25 | 4.0
    Score: 4.09 rDev -3.1%

Cool (mid - 60s) overcast day forecast for the Sunshine City…I think I’ll stay home and tackle some laundry. Cheers and have a thermodynamically pleasing Thursday y’all!

Hopefully this isn’t some subliminal message from your daughter that you should now drink more NA beers.
