Kind of interesting that they have different cold IPAs for spring and summer. And both cold IPAs overlap with 2 or 3 other IPAs. Well, why not.

Wander dropping a Bourbom Barrel aged Stout, in limited quantities. Cut n Paste from FB:

    "
Taping something special today that you can only find at the brewery! Last year we teamed up with our bourbon barrel supplier @woodinvillewhiskeyco to create their exclusive house bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout. We packaged the beer in December and the entire batch headed south to Woodinville except a small bit of draft that will not be leaving our brewery doors. No adjunct laden, lactose heavy, overly spiced, pastry stout here. This is straight up Imperial Stout packing oak barrel goodness laced with flavors of apricot, dried cranberry, and heaps of baker’s chocolate swimming amidst the unmistakable bourbon character. A truly decadent sipper that is the color of the darkest black coffee.
Join us as we tap the first keg of this very special beer along with BBQ, heaters, and the fire pit on the patio!"

Didn't they just open the Lake Stevens and Freeland places in the last couple of years? Seems like a successful expansion is the exception rather than the rule.

Thanks, nice article. Happy hour at the bar at Rockfish is the time for your crunchy bar food fix. I like the beers at Bastion and they have crowler cans if you forgot your emergency road jug.

Great Northern posted on their FB that they are hosting a Zwanze Day event this year. Hoping it doesn't conflict with work!

Impressive. Not all that surprising given the quality of their beer selection, but still impressive.

And, having looked deeper at their FB posts, it's the only spot in WA to host this year. We do have a show that night, but it should be a mellow one, so I might have to violate my no beer before work policy for that one day.

I'm going to be in Japan immediately before. Trying to decide if I should attend in Tokyo (if I can) or with my wife in Bellingham.

Strangely, the international date line *might* make that technically feasible

A sea lettuce gueuze is intriguing, and I can think of nothing on the beer spectrum further from a pastry stout. That’s got got be worth something on its own.

There's one also occurring in Idaho about 75-80 mi from me, but I don't think I'll be able to make it.

I seem to remember a Kelp beer from a B.C. brewery. I'll have to look it up when I'm off work.

Tofino Kelp Stout. Haven’t had it, but seen it on the shelf. If oyster stouts are a thing, I got no problem with kelp.

Might have to try for Zwanze at GP this year myself. Feeling a lot of FOMO currently, seeing friends in Astoria at FOTD.
