Gonna grill some burgers and dogs in a windy snow squall with the sun out. March in SE PA is awesome. Heady is tasting amazing. Cheers!

You're right, he does look passive on the sidelines. He's a Bob Knight product, but that doesn't always mean he takes on the coaching style of his coach. I'm all for a calm coach if the results show. They sadly haven't up to this point. Decent first half. We'll see how the rest goes.

Cross post with New Beer Sunday #994.

Full review in the New Beer Sunday thread linked here. Bottom line, this is a very enjoyable crisp lager with a little kick and a lot of flavor.

Time to make a later than usual meal and catch up with the threads.

Before I was enjoying a Revolution V.S.O.R. Select (Ryewine aged in hand-selected bourbon and rye barrels for two years from Binny's Beverage Depot). Binny's is the go-to spot for beer and any other liquor in Chicagoland. Didn't know a place so big could be dedicated to just alcohol and drinks in general. Big barrel, as expected with the extended aging. Sugar Daddies, rich caramel, creme brûlée, maple, big rye spice both from the base and barrel, caramelized brown sugar, raisin, fig, plum, brown bread, oak tannin, big rye whiskey flavor, vanillin, slight coconut, some leather. Decadent, but balanced nicely by rye spice and barrel. Admittedly this is leaning a bit more sweet for my liking with a good amount of residual sweetness, but it's still top notch.

Now I'm enjoying a Gnosis Fertile Green DIPA (Amarillo/Mosaic). Herbaceous diesel dankness, tangerine, orange peel, kumquat, yellow grapefruit, mango flesh and skin, apricot, earthiness, resinous pine. Nicely dry and bitter on the finish. Soft feel. Well done.

I’ll rarely shy away from a well done hazy ipa or occasionally dabble with a kettle sour. However, traditional beers and classics will always be my first beer love. Hope all are having a pleasant Sunday evening. [IMG]
