Semantic Satiation, a West Coast Style IPA from Central Waters, with Citra, Mosaic & Simcoe. Cheers, BA!

 

Riverlands Everlasting Echoes DIPA (Citra, Citra Incognito, Citra cryo, Galaxy, Nectaron, Simcoe). These guys fly under the radar in Chicagoland for the most part and it's a damn shame. They consistently make good stuff across the board. This one is no exception. Ripe and bright tangerine and clementine, orange peel, ripe passionfruit, floral, nectarine, apricot, yellow grapefruit flesh and peel, earthy pine resin. Stays pretty dry throughout with a nice bitter finish. Excellent.

 

My Ma is already getting on me like “he’s making two pounds of ziti and he forgets the minced garlic!?!?”

Time to re-up. Only my 4th 12-pack of this SN beauty this season. If you love Munich malt aroma and flavor, you will love this beer!!

 

Ironically enough a friend is at that game today, his wife is a UGA grad and he texted pictures of imbibing on a RIS which is more than i would want at a tailgate - mind you he is about 70 or so! Enjoy the game! I'll likely check out the Michigan-Washington game later today, not holding out hope that the Wolverines will win, too much talent drain with the 13 that were NFL drafted and Harbaugh moving on.
Onto round 2 and going larger since i am not on cooking duty tonight, enjoying Yeti, a solid old school imperial stout, perhaps one of the best bargains in the high gravity world.
Still listening to the top 1000 on Sirius, always enjoyed this one.

Haven't heard a bad thing about this beer, therefore I scooped up a sixer upon sight today. Reminiscent of what I remember Sierra Nevada Stout being like. Not identical of course. Matter of fact, SN Stout was hoppier I believe. Rambling over...cheers!

 

UVA will beat UNC. Carolina is a mess.
