Hey Everyone! My name is Gwen and I’m looking for this beer my husband bought out here in Houston Tx. The beer is called Valero, now I’ve searched and found out it is from Spain. Since he bought it from a local store, the owner said it was just in the delivery truck randomly. Total Wine doesn’t have it, nor Amazon. If someone could help me find a link to buy this beer, I’ll appreciate it. Thanks
Welcome to BA Gwen. To begin with, are you sure about the spelling of this beer? I searched the BA data base and did a random Google search, but nothing comes up. There's a beer spelled "velero," that's made in Mexico. Might that be the beer you're looking for?
I’m pretty sure she means this beer. I searched it up, and found it at some odd-ball little stores here in the US but she is correct, Total Wine and other large retailers do not appear to stock it.
If we're talking about Velero, that's what I found as well. Makes me think that distribution is probably pretty limited, and that finding it in a store locally is going to be a matter of luck. I suppose she could contact the brewery to see if they have any information about local retail outlets. Other than that, I got nothing.
I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same Velero. You stated that the one you found was made in Mexico, the one I found is from Spain.
You're right. It is indeed from Spain. The first picture I saw seemed to indicate it was from Mexico. The Spanish version is actually listed in the data base (though with very few reviews).
@Gwenluvsyu - If you still have trouble finding it after knowing the correct spelling, then let us know why you want this particular beer. People can then potentially offer suggestions for alternatives if appropriate.
Imported by FEROLITO, VULTAGGIO & SONS, HORNELL BREWING CO., INC. 60 CROSSWAYS PARK DR , W WOODBURY, NY 11797 Googling will turn up phone numbers but not sure how helpful they'll be finding their Texas distributor(s)... but ya never know. (The same outfit that owns Arizona Ice Tea and used to distribute a number of US contract-brewed beers, infamously Crazy Horse Malt Liquor. "Hornell" was an upstate NY brewery in that town which went out of business long before F,V began - never found out why/how they picked the name).
