Speaking of Keith Jarrett earlier...what do you know, another live album. Eyes of the Heart, with his excellent band with Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, and Paul Motion. The criticism I have heard of this live album is that the band had played together so long by this point, and it was the last thing they released, you could tell they were tired of each other. BUT I don't get that, this is a fantastic live album.

Schlenkerla Swarzbier in the glass. Maybe my favorite Rauchbier. This is fitting for Keith, Eyes of the Heart is on the great German independent jazz label, ECM. The concert was recorded in Austria as well.

 

Fat Head's Head Hunter ipa, still raining here and the temps dropped about 22 degrees since 1330.

 

A change of pace: 2024 Blasphemy, a barrel-aged Belgian Quad from Weyerbacher Brewing in Easton, PA. I am happy to drink it today since my Bucknell Bison defeated their Patriot League rival Lafayette Leopards (located in Easton) in hoops yesterday to sweep the home and home. Cheers!

 

On to something ever reliable. In for a good finish here.

That storm convinced my wife and me to install a whole house generator, which proved to be a godsend during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. When we downsized in 2018, Mrs. Mac insisted on installing a generator in this house, which we did. Although we haven't needed it much I'm glad we spent the $$ because it is great peace of mind.

 

Gf bought me SoS and Two Hearted for Valentine's Day. She knows how to woo me haha!

Having never lived in that kind of environment I have to ask, will you be able to get out or just stuck there until it improves? A quarter inch here basically shuts down the city!
