I live in Minnesota, USA. Each time it snows a few inches one of my domestic chores is to clear and groom driveways and my sidewalk. For this task I always enjoy a beer either before, during, or after. Sometimes all of the above! My beer choice is dependent on temperature and the amount of snow that needs to be thrown. If you have snow to groom, what's your beer of choice? Here's a Weldwerks Chocolate Orange Stout that was sweet and tasty for the job today. Kinda like Christmas candy.
Looking at a 4" plus snow event this lovely Saturday/today. The snow blower will sing! It's stacking up and is light 'n fluffy. Wet snow ain't gonna happen this time. NTL I'll be out in it with a beer or two as driveways beckon. Now then. With which beer shall I groom? Perhaps a tiny bit of mellow glow.... Wabasha West Side Popper Jalapeno Cream Ale It pairs quite well with snow grooming! Let's go BAs!
I shoveled a good 8 inches this morning by my garage. I didn't have a beer while doing it, but, if I did, it would have been a Schell's Snowstorm. That would fit well with the situation.
I've never heard the term "grooming" for removing snow- sounds more like something you do to a ski slope- we just say shovel, snowblow, or clear the driveway- that being said, gimme a Bell's Two Hearted or a Edmund Fitzgerald Porter after the work is done
Weather idiot said 7-10" inches, so far 2", hoping it's done so I can enjoy my Rocky Mountain D.O.R.I.S. from Hoppin' Frog.
@LesDewitt4beer, do you have a hands free method for drinking your beer(s) and snow blowing? Since you are from Minnesota, maybe:
Ha! What a helmet! I used to have a hoodie that had a sewn-in Koozie in the front pouch. Now I just have a brew in the garage and about every 10 min take a short break, toddle back to the old shack and tip it.
Just rcv'd a few more inches of sugar and 2 neighbors called for driveway clearing. Yee haaa! I'll be tipping my hat to Cellaruary tomorrow early.
Funny thing, each year after shoveling my drive and sidewalk a few times, I tell my wife I need to get a snow blower, but after 22 years have yet to get one. We don't get near the snow you do, just mumblings after shoveling!

Never put one in there, but they’re great for outdoor usage and stick really well. Made great gifts too! https://www.ebay.com/itm/3260134696...inJu3Q9PIpE+VdWqcW1NLlpvM=|tkp:Bk9SR9z-3oChZQ These ones look a bit different but are significantly cheaper.
Holy cow my snow blower is way too violent to actually mount a beer to. It'd be a disaster. I usually worry that my brew will freeze b4 I can finish it. Ha! Snow is a good insulator for a while.
Do you ever lose track where you bury your beer and have to wait until the spring thaw to find it? Cheers!
