What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4711

The GF decided to try our luck with mini-pumpkins again, as last year she bought one and it lasted in about the location you see here well into the snows of January. I asked why she got a white pumpkin and she said at the sizes we needed, there weren't many options. Oh, well. She got a couple smaller orange pumpkins to bring some color.

Coincidence, perhaps?

Somewhat briefly... on my jog / walk this afternoon, the next street over had an ambulances and (upon my return) police presence. I noticed a car in a yard (we live in a townhouse community, so front yards are barely bigger than some cars) angled as if it had just rung a doorbell. I was wondering if someone had a medical issue and ended up in that position. Surprisingly, from the distance I was casually observing from, there didn't appear to be any damage.

Anyhow, long paragraph to say that as I read "uncontrollably steered into..." my mind jumped to thinking you had an accident. Good to read further that the coincidence was all in my head.

 

Been a gorgeous week here with another forecast for next week. Theoretically sane people will be swimming in the river next weekend for the first time in perhaps a century.

I know the feeling. It keeps happening to me too all the time!

 

Yeah, I gave up on the hop harvest.
Freaking tedious and my arms are itching to holy high hell.
I'll just buy the damn things when I need them. They're definitely worth purchasing over picking.
I don't have a hop trellis, so they're just growing on the fence, but there's SO MANY of them! My Isaac's Syndrome is disagreeing with the plucking process, as my hands keep cramping up.
On to beer drinking then!

When I was a kid, we had a Buckeye tree in our yard (in Northeast Indiana). Whenever dad was done grilling (over charcoal), we'd toss some buckeye nuts into the burning coals and watch them explode. I know, I know ... we were a plain, simple folk. Don't judge me.
