Beers that you regret purchasing...

Unibrau Ephemere, Not that it was terrible but it was the fact that I bought an entire case thinking that it would be great. It turned out to be so so but for 55.00 bucks for an entire case I was a bit underwhelmed.

 

Weyerbacher Insanity. Not that it was a bad beer, but didnt live up to a damn near year old BBA Barleywine with a $5 price tag. Heresy was good and worth the $3 I paid.

 

Yuengling Lager. Not so much the beer. I just paid way too much for it.

Dude, I'd happily fork over $23/bottle.
Where I live...IF you can find it, it's about $30...and delish.

 

Weird...have had 2...still have 3...never once thought bad/off/infected.
Was aware of issues with BA Yeti, but this is the first I'm hearing of issues with BA Old Ruffian.

 

Rogue Vodoo. Bleech and I traded a Pumking for it...............

Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy (beer and lemonade. bleh.)
Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss (tasted like cough medicine)
Moosehead Lime (100% artificial tasting)
These were bought for my wife who likes when the bars stick a lemon or lime wedge in a beer.

 

11.11.11 was a drain pour for me after I had it paired with a 12.12.12 and that's a huge deal for me as well.

Also traded some Heady's to tray a bottle of Imperial Biscotti Break and while I thought it was pretty good, I have been much happier with other trades

 

Dogfish Head Positive Contact. Same result as the first one I popped (thank god I only bought 2 when this came out). And to answer the thread's question: yes, I regret purchasing this:

 

The first Oude Tart I bought was worth it to try. It's the other 3 sitting in my basement that I really regret . . . .

Really, anything is worth buying once. I don't regret buying anything, even if it's a drainpour. But having bought more than one bottle of a beer I hate is where the regret begins.

 

I for one adore Southern Tier and Pumking is a fav of mine. I buy a case of it a year and pour it when I am in the mood!

+1 on that. I had the Lemonwood and it tasted like club soda mixed with a Glade scented oil plugin...

 

Wild Blue Blueberry Lager. I know, I know, I feel like an idiot for even mentioning it. If you haven't tried it, I'll save you the pain and discomfort. Imagine taking a mug with three Alka-Seltzer tablets and two packets of Sweet-N-Low at the bottom, and then fill it with the liquid from one of those blue unfrozen freeze-pop things (you know, the ones your Mom bought when you were a kid and stuck in the freezer for a "cool treat"?), pour in a half ounce of Everclear, and you're suddenly a long, LONG way from common sense.
