I forget, how much were half pours at founders on KBS day? $6 for eight ounces?... $9 for a bottle doesn't sound all that out whack.

Wait where have you seen KBS readily sold on the open market for $3 a bottle?

I belive that Brian508 is refering to the cost a retailer pays for the beer.

Exactly. If people will pay that then go for it. I charged $8 for an 11 oz pour of BCBS. But then again I'm in Macomb county and not Oakland. Good for them, I would just feel like I'm taking advantage of our customers.

    I honestly think that's a fair price.

Brianw508, you seem like a good guy and a good BA so sorry for nitpicking, but $8.00 for BCBS is $0.73 an oz while $9.00 for a KBS is $0.75 an ounce.

I do not know what you pay wholesale for BCBS but it retails in the same ball park as KBS, so it sounds as though both beers are competitively and fairly priced for a restaurant setting

I'd pay that at a bar all day - I also appreciate the fact that they let everyone know the cost upfront vs. keeping it a secret and charging quite a bit more like a certain other worthless establishment on Rochester Rd.

Is there a 12oz barrel aged beer at goose island, revolution, local option or anyone other bar under 9 bucks? I'm pretty sure I pay 8 or 9 bucks for barrel aged beers in 10oz snifters.

I can only speak for myself but in Chicago I have only seen KBS for $12 or more so 25% lower is a good price
