Just to let everyone know....Penny Black in Rochester is doing a release of KBS bottles tonight at 6. 9 $ a bottle limit 2. Nothing to go.
I forget, how much were half pours at founders on KBS day? $6 for eight ounces?... $9 for a bottle doesn't sound all that out whack.
i was there and was able to get 3, good thing i had a driver. $9 for 12oz of KBS at a bar is pretty good i think. here is a shot of some of the folks i enjoyed some KBS with...
Exactly. If people will pay that then go for it. I charged $8 for an 11 oz pour of BCBS. But then again I'm in Macomb county and not Oakland. Good for them, I would just feel like I'm taking advantage of our customers.
Brianw508, you seem like a good guy and a good BA so sorry for nitpicking, but $8.00 for BCBS is $0.73 an oz while $9.00 for a KBS is $0.75 an ounce. I do not know what you pay wholesale for BCBS but it retails in the same ball park as KBS, so it sounds as though both beers are competitively and fairly priced for a restaurant setting
I'd pay that at a bar all day - I also appreciate the fact that they let everyone know the cost upfront vs. keeping it a secret and charging quite a bit more like a certain other worthless establishment on Rochester Rd.
Is there a 12oz barrel aged beer at goose island, revolution, local option or anyone other bar under 9 bucks? I'm pretty sure I pay 8 or 9 bucks for barrel aged beers in 10oz snifters.
I can only speak for myself but in Chicago I have only seen KBS for $12 or more so 25% lower is a good price
