For example, I just got to my hotel in Reston, VA for a 2-night, 2-day business trip, and stopped in Baltimore on the way down to complete an IP trade w/ my good buddy (more Backyard Rye!), stopped again in Vienna, VA to visit Norm's (love that store) just to grab some nice local shelf beers. Made sure to buy a couple cold 6ers (and bring a couple cold singles w/ me) so I could enjoy them while I worked tonight.

Checked in, got to my hotel room, and lo & behold, the "refreshment center" refrigerator had been turned into a non-cooling storage box. But wait! There was a note saying they had a limited supply of refrigerators available should you need one. So I thought to myself, I have 10 cold beers. I'm here for 2 nights. I qualify as needing one!

    Ta-da!

I also muled my Weyerbacher tulip down. I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed or not. :flushed:

Please make me - and the rest of BA - feel better by sharing stupid stuff you've done.

I've shipped beer illegally across state lines to complete strangers...

Closest story I've got is when I went out to CA for a wedding this past September. I brought along as few clothes as possible to allow as much weight for beer as possible. I took CCB, Straight to Ale, Good People, and Westbrook with me out there to share with the bartenders at the breweries. I came back with Bruery, Russian River, Firestone Walker and Lost Abbey offerings. I am very glad I was able to make some quick friends with the bartenders when I walk in with some great southeast beers they couldn't get easily. I ended up being over weight in my suitcase and had to ship myself beer...

All in the name of beer.

Finished almost every beer ever. Including the pong fodder and terrible ones.

I think I've only had to pour out maybe 4. One of those had a cigarette ashed into it, the rest were because I had already drank waaaay to much.

I often buckle up my beer on the way home from the store, especially if it's a 6 pack or bombers. I wasn't even sure if I should write this, because I figure everyone does it.

    I homebrew.
Come on, think about it for a second: it takes forever to brew, plus bottling. a month to 6 weeks till drinking.
the amount of money spent on equipment, ingredients and time. possibilities of infection, bad batches and mopping the ceiling.
Pros: the satisfaction of saying, "yup, I brewed this one. Yep, at home."

I don't "respect beer". I enjoy it and drink a lot of it, simple as that. I've always thought that phrase was really dumb.

Its not dumb. Lets say you dont like IPAs but drink one and say it sucks even though it might be a very good and well made IPA. Thats not respecting beer by saying a good beer sucks just because you dont prefer the style.

Kate the Great Day, 2012. It was a very good beer, but I spent about four hours waiting in 20 degree weather to get it. Couldn't feel my hands or feet by the time I made it indoors.
