When I was first introduced to it, the name led me to think that it's a Milk/Sweet Stout

It's definitely sweet for a BA Double Stout, there's no doubt about it. It's a good beer. Not the right beer for the OP's question, for sure, though.

IMO it's more of an Old Ale-English Barleywine-Quad than an Imperial Stout that's been barrel aged. On the other hand BCBS and the variants are very sweet too.

Remy's Pappy says it is a double stout/RIS, but it really came off as a BA sweet stout

Sweet horizon is hands down my favorite desert beer. It's thick, rich & full of chocolate, vanilla & bourbon notes.

Keegan Ales Bourbon Barrel Mothers Milk Stout. Amazing creation, wish they would make it more often.

Already mentioned but worth repeating is CCB Imperial Sweet Stout aged in Cognac Barrels. Best milk stout I have tried for sure.

Black Xantus is pretty good. Not sure if classified as milk stout, but does taste like it.
